I purchased a single wide in April 2024. The home was delivered to the sales lot around July 2024. I was not allowed to go into the home prior to it being brought out to my land in August 2024. The warranty on the home started when the home was delivered in August. I did not get to move into home until October 2024. The home at this time had floor damage, cracks in ceiling and the workmanship in home was not up to what it should be for a $100,000 home. In November 2024 I submitted my list of repairs. Nothing was done. I had a contractor come in December 2024 and make another list of damage to home. At this time there are more weak areas in floor. The cabinets are separating from walls and ceiling in the kitchen, there is roof damage, and i was informed there is most likely foundation issues. I resubmitted a list of repairs a couple of weeks ago. I still have not heard anything about repairs being made, foundation being fixed and even possibly a replacement home.Business Response

Good Morning -
We apologize for your frustration about your home. It is not uncommon to have issues like you have stated when homes go down to the road. BUT, in saying this, this is all factory warranty related.
We turned your final punchlist in to the factory on 11/26/24.
**** is only the retailer of the home. We do not build these homes, but we work for our customers to make sure that the service will be taken care of.
We have spoken with Fleetwood personally and have asked them to put a rush on your service. We will follow up with you again when they have come out to check it out.
Thank you.

Hello I reached out to Marty last year about my bricks split down the middle the house is only a year old at the time . He sent the company back out and they split down the middle ago . I called him a month ago and he said this is normal . He could not repair them . My foundation is 2 years old there no way I should have spit in my brick work all readyBusiness Response
Date: 01/13/2025
We certainly apologize for your frustration. Please keep in mind that brickwork has no load bearing weight on it. It sits on a footer and is strictly cosmetic. We cannot control any settling cracks or things of this nature. That's all part of the land, soil type, and conditions. We apologize, but this isn't something we can warranty.

Looking at the photos provided, those are small hairline cracks below vents, which definitely bare no weight. This is definitely an act of settling by nature.Customer Answer

the quality of the job is very sloppy and when I made the issues known the owner laughed and stated this company had did million dollar homes before, basically downgrading mine. I have put too much money in this house, I have had nothing but problems since I have purchased this home , and this is only one of many issues I am currently having. On top of that, I have mildew all in my bathroom, I could continue on with my issues.Initial Complaint

After I gave the deposit check everything went down hill! I closed on the home in May 2022. The home wasn't delivered until Aug 2022 and I wasn't moved in until Dec 2022. My sales person quit in July and the whole experience was a NIGHTMARE! Terrible communication! Worst decision of my life. I ended up working with the manufacturer bc the dealership never responded. I had a leak which created mold in my master bathroom. That took from March to Oct to get fixed. And haven't heard from the manufacturer since. I now have a leak in my year and half old roof!!! That I am being advised should be replaced because of bad installation!!! This company is a rip off. Avoid at all cost!!!!!Business Response

Hello - we apologize for your frustration with your home buying process. By no means do we anticipate anyone being frustrated about one of their biggest purchases. We take pride in our company and we want to help everyone with the purchase of their dream home.
It looks like your deal was a land/home deal with Triad. Unfortunately, when any deal includes land, it will definitely slow down the process. It does look like we paid for an expedited appraisal to get the process moving a little quicker. It also looks like you may have delayed closing because of some concerns over the bank fees and closing costs.
Because of this being a construction loan, each time we did work, we would have to submit draw requests to move on to the next step, of course, waiting on the bank once again. We did end up finishing in December.
I am sorry that you have not heard back from Scotbilt. They were bought out by Champion Homes, and they have had quite the transition. I will touch base with the manufacturer and ask them to reach out to you. While we do act as a middle man, the warranty process is between the buyer and the manufacturer of the home. They will address any issues you may have. MWHS is only the retailer, we did not build the home.I will reach out to Scotbilt on your behalf today.

I am rejecting this response because my loan was closed on in May. Closing costs and fees had no determining facts on when we moved in. I put the deposit down and I'm not sure who was pushing so hard to close so soon but it wasn't me. So I'm not sure why we needed to do the expedited appraisal. The house sat on my lot for 3-4 weeks after delivery bc my then sales person forgot to schedule the septic installation. The issue was in July my sales person quit and no one notified me. Then I was told I was to work with ****, the ** that apparently handled modulars, who NEVER returned my calls and asked me the same questions each time I talked to him. There were several times the house was just sitting for weeks at a timeAt one point Marty Wright himself called me, said we would do the walk through and we weren't even ready to do that. The only reason I was able to move in when I did was bc I ended up calling the trim out guy and the cleaning lady. If that's included in the setup/turn key fee should be refunded! None of my crown molding was caulked. And they tore the plastic off my appliances that I still cant pull all of it off so it just hangs there. My toilets have been running since move in. My flooring has a triangle that looks like it was cut out and glued back in. My meter box is attached by my siding! Not even attached to a stud on the wall. How that even passed inspection is beyond me! Now my roof is leaking, a year and a half!
I have called TWICE now since 2024 and have gotten no return call. The last I heard from the manufacturer was Oct 2023 to finish the master vanity leak (7month job)and there are still things left undone. Or should be refunded!

Heatpump we recieved with home is not what we purchased. We stated in the very beginning we wanted a bigger heatpump than what they said came with the home wich and they said no problem we will make that happen. we did not receive and on top of that the one we got doesn't work properly, they sent the contractors out a couple times and they try to say its fine wich is untrue.it runs 24/7 only part of the evaporator coil gets cold. On an 80 degree day outside its 77 inside. My kids rooms is absolutely miserable to the point they can't sleep. We just want a legit heatpump that works properly.Business Response

Hello - We are sorry for your frustration. Per our manufacturer, they supply us with the exact size of unit that is required for the home. If we put a larger unit on it, it could have voided your warranty. Manufacturers have found that dealers were oversizing units and it was causing the internal ducts to sweat and condensate causing the floors to buckle. We are regulated to the size that they require. We apologize, but this is what we have to do to keep our license in good standing.Initial Complaint

On March 20, 2023, I gave ******, the salesperson for Marty Wright Homes, a check for the home I wanted. The home sat on my property for five months. I was told that I could not get the key until I did the walk-through. I asked why not, as the home is paid for and I should be able to see the work that is being done. On August 21st, 2023, I showed *********************, the property manager at another site ************************ everything I had shown ******. This included the cracks in the walls, front door, sliding door, ceiling, bedroom door knobs, molding, areas that needed to be painted, kitchen cabinets, pantry, floor, stove, dishwasher, and furnace. They always left behind a lot of stuff I want out of my yard.In January 2024, a man named ***** came out to see what needed to be done and I showed him the same issues. He asked if this was something new, and I replied that I had picked this home off the lot as new in 2023. He inspected it and said that the work was subpar, as if Marty Wright had picked people off the street to do the work. Finally, on January 15th, 2024, two men from ******* **************** were sent out. They replaced the kitchen cabinets but created more damage. On January 18th, a father and son from B&M were sent out to hang the front door and put the doorknobs on. The other things that need to be fixed are being blamed on the manufacturer, with Marty Wright and the manufacturer pointing fingers at each other. All I know is that the check he cashed said *****************************, and my husband had to die for me to buy a home. How can Marty Wright treat people like this? I am not the only one experiencing these issues, but I am the only one not giving up. His reviews tell the truth about his company.Thank you.Business Response

I started my journey with Marty wright home sales ********, ** in May 2022. I picked out a home to purchase in June 2022 and wasn't able to sign on it until November 2022 due to lack of communication with this group and being told multiple times that the home I originally walked through that was on the lot ready for sale was not available anymore, to being told there was another model on a sister lot that was identical I would be able to purchase, then back to the one on the ******** lot. I decided to purchase a home on the lot in the hopes it would be a faster process compared to customizing one. I was sadly mistaken. After closing in November my home was not moved until May 2023, not even to my lot but to a family member's that agreed they could park it there for 2-3 days. Despite calling the whole time while I was waiting for it to be moved I was given nothing but excuses and lies. Marty wright would give days on when moving/set up would be done without even contacting their subs. My home ended up setting on someone else's land for 3 weeks in separate pieces to the point of that person calling the police. Once they started moving the home, they ended up getting in stuck in my driveway in a bind for 3 days before coming back. It then took 3 weeks for the two pieces to be put together. All during this time there was water leaking into the home. Marty wright would never reach out to me for updates, I would have to call them to see why I hadn't heard anything or why there was No one working on my home. Other than the water damage the home needed alot of repairs, to cracked ceiling, holes in the sheet rock, windows and doors not opening or closing, sidding broke/bent, holes in the insulation underneath the house, tile work throughout the house broken, and many more. I now have been paying my morage, rent, and a storage building fee for 8months and still not able to move into my home. I have been told multiple times they "would be finished this week."Business Response

Hello - We are sorry that you are frustrated with your home purchase. I think we can both agree that your property has created a lot of these issues. Being literally on top of a mountain, the access has been terrible. We were told that gravel would be put in the driveway and that has not happened. Anytime it rains, it's days before anyone else can climb the trek to get back to it without getting stuck. The county inspectors quit when the home was delivered. We could not get a marriage line inspection until the county had someone available to inspect the house. We did not do a turn key job on this one. Some of the items, we were waiting on your contractors, or yourself to do. For instance, we are still waiting on your well guy to complete the well, and was told it could be another 6 months. We have had service contracts there on property this week with an end goal of having it finished by December 22. We will report back as soon as this work is completed.Initial Complaint

After purchasing the home, the salesman walked it twice himself writing down too many repairs to count before there was even power to the home. Some of these repairs included a large hole in the bathroom floor, the flooring cut 6-8ft across in every room but one (appeared to be cut with a box cutter to open boxes of molding, so it was done by the set up crew), flooring put over a hole that had been cut for a floor vent (you can see the perfect outline under the the tile and cannot walk over it and it it in front of the sink), none of the molding/trim was flush to include both factory installed and set up crew installed, broken **** blinds, and the **** goes on. Again, all written down by the salesman. The day after the power was turned on, we sent in a few additional problems including the outlets in the kitchen not working, issues with the ductwork, straps on the roof, no hot water in the tubs. We received no response from dealer or ********. Several months later we received a lengthy written message from ***** Wright that appeared to be directed to all recent home buyers apologizing for poor set-**** taking too long too deliver or set up, bad work done by repairman, manufactures not making repairs, etc. He stated that they were going to pay more money to *********** people and get in top of these manufacturers in order to get customers serviced. We were grateful to see that they were acknowledging the problem and intended to get it handled. Nearing the warranty period and still not having ever had a single repair done, we reached out three more times, in writing (to have proof that we had again requested repairs before the end of the warranty), via email to MWH. In the email we were willing to just deal with the enormous amount of shotty work by both the manufacturer and MWH if they would just fix a few major issues which were the outlets in the kitchen not working, the ductwork, no hot water in the bathrooms and getting the straps off the roof. STILL NOTHING.Business Response
