*** has been my accountant for the last few years. Honestly, getting in contact with him for questions when you were not directly sitting in front of him was always a challenge when I lived in **, but now that I am living overseas I cannot get him to return an email or call. I reached out to his office at the end of January to start the process of just getting my business tax return done. We ended up having to file an extension, despite having a a video call with him I believe early March where he assured me I would have it in four days. It's now May, his assistant sent me a return a week ago, I don't believe it's even accurate to which I immediately replied and asked a question, and here we are, another week has gone by and nothing. My husband and I just want to file our taxes and move on with a new accountant, we just need the last of my business paperwork to do so. I am happy to provide my numerous emails to the business should they try and claim they have responded.Business response

Our firm has a process throughout the year and also during our busiest time with regards to communication. During off season we are booked up a week to two weeks in advance and busy season up to 5 weeks. Work to be performed requires a meeting via zoom in person or over the phone. With respect to this case and due to the change of location, a zoom or a phone call sufficed to ensure the client had proper accommodations. During the last review, information to finalize the return was given. If new information came up after this review, then a meeting would be needed to be scheduled to review the new information to update the financials and the return. No additional information regarding this return was ever given so upon a request for final copy warranted a response with the final copy. Happy to finalize, but a formal meeting is needed to complete.
Just as an aside any delays from ** were cause by the owners mothers sudden passing. The passing occurred a day after the final zoom meeting.
