I don't even want to give this store a one star, but it wouldn't allow no stars. I have been trying to adopt a cat for at least a week. Every time I have gone in, No ONE who has the authority to approve or even talk to has not been available- not there!! I had texted the person who is supposed to handle the animals and make sure they are okay, was not there. I got ahold of the President of Adopt An Angel (Sherry) and sent her two texts before she called me back. I talked to her for quite a long time, sent pics,etc. As I was told by Jackie, the cats had to be adopted in pairs - they aren't even related. Sherry, of course, wanted them adopted in pairs. I already have 2 and wanted this particular cat called Gemma. I can't understand what is wrong with those ******! Most people adopt one cat at a time unless they are kittens and of the same litter. The cat I wanted was a year or more in age and I have no idea of the "cell mate". I told Sherry I was concerned because of the age of the cat, that it's going to be a long time before anyone is going to adopt two grown cats and that the longer they are there is going to make it harder. I also was told by several employees of the store, that was their concern as well. Several customers have expressed that view as well to the store employees. For a "President" of Adopt An Angel, Sherry has no back bone and just let Jackie the volunteer make the decisions. I was willing to adopt this precious cat and give her a her a great home with 2 other-very loved cats and she, instead of just saying "no", she said " let me think about it" , which is spineless for "no". My heart goes out to these cats at that location. I just hope Sherry and Jackie find jobs in other fields because they DO NOT and SHOULD NOT be allowed to work with animals. Every time I was there, there wasn't a single person around those cats They are neglected and something needs to be done. I had contacted the Tractor Supply store that puts Adopt An Angel in charge of putting cats in the store . I spoke to Cherise, the only person to voice my concern to, and when I was explaining the situation, she said nothing. At, what I thought was the end of my complaint, she just hung up on me, so I can tell I wasted my time talking to her. Next week I plan to call back and talk to her supervisor-she needs a different line of work as well. I realize that Petscense is not a member of BBB, now I know why. I just hope someone reads this and can take action. Where do you go next when you have spoken with the so-called "President" who doesn't care?
