      On March 21, 2021, I contracted with Eastern Home Repair to complete extensive repairs that included: repairing the foundation (footers, beams, piers, rebuilding the entire foundation wall, etc.), sealing the entire inside wall of the foundation wall with urethane polymer and foam boards, replace subfloor and plywood floor and level all floors, remove all debris under home and install moisture barrier throughout, replace concrete steps on all side of the house, install new flooring throughout the house, and paint the entire exterior of the house. I planned to move into my home as soon as the renovations were done. Work started shortly after the contract was executed, but the progress was sporadic for the next several months and into the new year. I made several payments to the company totaling about $50,000. The owner, *******************, seemed like a very nice and honest businessman and I trusted him to get the work done. On several occasions, he expressed that he was having difficulty getting good people to help him and my home went without any work for months at times. Around August 2022, I was informed that he was getting his crew back together and would be starting back on my home soon. On November 15, 2022, I contacted him via text message to ask him if he had abandoned my job, but he said no and that he would be resuming the work in a few weeks. I did not hear back from him in the entire month of December 2022. After he did not respond to my text messages or phone calls in January 2023, I located his brother's number online and spoke with him. It was then that I found out ******************* had passed in November 2022 around Thanksgiving. His brother, *******************, told me he would give my phone number to *****' son, who was now running the business and ask him to call me. I still have not heard from him. At this point, I still need the repairs completed on my home. If this can't be done, I would like to be refunded for all the work I paid for but didn't get done.
