I had a leak on my porch roof and have been trying to get someone in the roofing business to come out and give me an estimate, it's just 400 square feet of roofing. I have gotten estimates as high as $2000. several companies said they would come out and check it out but never did, except one company, Eastern Home Repair L.L.C. they came the very next day after they had gotten off work, ***** **** and two of his employees installed a synthetic underlayment over my leaking roof. don't you know it rained that same night all night long and I didn't have the first drop of water come inside my home, which was the first time in months. hats off to these guys. I have signed a contract for them to return to tear of my complete roof and install a new one. this company I will highly recommend to everyone. I told the owner that it was late and I would clean up the trash they cleaned off my roof but they insisted they wasn't leaving until everything was complete cleaned and baggage up. these guys are awesome.

*****, the owner is a very nice guy, and as much as I hate to give him a bad review, the foundation work his crew did, is a total disaster. His crew was going to knock off before the job was half done, and whatever they did, did not hold up. Our 120 year old house continues to lean more and more, some areas were not attended to at all, our kitchen has buckled in the middle, and one large beam that is totally termite eaten was ignored entirely. In addition the crew tried to make off with several of our tools, failed to install an access door where directed in the contract, and instead of cleaning up their debris, just tossed it all under the house. ***** did not inspect or oversee the work at all and has neglected to return to the site to live up to his (hand-written) warranty. We are currently in the process of hiring another firm to inspect the damage left, and created, by Eastern, and expect to be addressing in court all or part of the 14,600 dollars that this mishandled project cost.

Mr ***** I want to apologize for the experience that you had with my company at the time the work was done at your home. Unfortunately I trusted the Forman I had at the time and didn't Realize he along with most of the crew were on drugs. We have a zero tolerance for any drugs in our environment, now that I have been blessed with a great team that works professionally and as a team, and most importantly are drug free, they have helped me correct the mistakes me and the other crew had made. I say me as well because it is I whom is responsible for checking behind the crew after each job, that's why I've hired a project manager that before and after each project he documents the complete project on video or pictures to verify that the work is done in a professional manner. Again I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you and if you would please call me I will see to it myself that you will be satisfied completely. Just call me sir. Very frustrating experience and waste of time to say the least. We had one concern , just one mind you, and that was regarding how they were using an aggressive round sander on our home wood siding which is over 100 yrs old and has a dutch lap boards type siding and did not want the boards sanded to the point it changed the shape of the board itself. Only after a few days of hand scraping his painter quit and they then proceeded to cancel all of our projects on the contract as the office manager informed us the owner didn't think he could satisfy us, so all the work and the contract was cancelled. So basically it sounded like the owner doesn’t respond well to customer concerns, it’s either his way or the highway which is unusual for a business as most business I have worked with don’t just bail after one concern by the customer is voiced. Just left the house half scraped and looking terrible. I also left 2 VM’s and a text requesting the owner to call me back. He never bothered to return my calls or respond to my texts and let his office assistant / mgr give us the news he was cancelling everything. When I hire a man to do work for me I would expect him to do the right thing and at least return my calls and texts especially if he has just decided to bail and not do the work, and not shove that off for someone else to do. However They are refunding 100% of our initial deposit, which is the absolute right thing to do, so they get one star for that alone. Outside of that they would get no stars considering how they conducted themselves. The experience was pretty much a waste of time as the only thing I have now is a bunch of exposed wood on the sides of the house which looks horrible, a ton of paint chips on the ground that I’ve had to clean up myself once they informed us the painter was not coming back. We signed a binding contract and agreed to the terms of how the painting would be done to provide a professional job. As soon as my painter begins scraping and sanding, the lady told him to stop sanding that she was scared he was sanding the wood and damaging it. I told her he is a professional and has completed several high quality paint jobs for very extensive homes, interior and exterior painting. When we signed the contract we agreed to $8950.00 down payment, on the complete job. I had some expensive cedar shingle vinyl siding ordered for this job and we were under contract to replace any rotten wood around complete home. We are super busy and I told both home owners that I couldn't begin until around end of October, but my painter could begin on the wood work preparing it for painting, we the I told her I couldn't be there and that my painter knew what to do, because I know he's a professional painter because his work speaks highly for itself! She followed him around every day for over a week. She called me every day sometimes twice a day telling me he was sanding the wood away she then said he could sand the flat boards??? After realizing that she was not going to let him preform the work correctly I decided to stop because we couldn't put a warranty on a job that we couldn't possibly do professionally. So I decided to take a 2k loose and refund the $8950.00 in full because she breached the contract by stopping the the correct way to paint the home. I was nice professional and honest. I told her I couldn't warranty the job preformed that way and wished her luck in finding a company that could.

She said I wouldn't return her calls, Mr **** said he knew we were doing it correctly. I didn't return her last few calls and texts because I had talked with her some times twice a day for several days. We had a palm sander with 80 grit sand paper with a point on it. The correct tool to do a professional job. We did the right thing and I mad the right decision for both parties.

The response by the owner is absolutely false in every way. My wife did not follow the painter around at any time at all because the painter was only using a hand scraper the whole time he was here. My wife did not call the owner every day or twice a day as he said in his response. That is also false. I was the individual that called him twice and left VM's and he did not return my calls or respond to my texts to inform me the painter was not coming back and he would not be doing any of the work on the contract.. The painter was told he would be getting another sander but the owner never supplied him with one. We never stopped the painter at any time from doing his job and never followed him around during the day. That is an absolutely false statement by the owner. I see the owner did not address the fact they just up and left with no notice during the job and left a complete mess around the house for the homeowner to clean up. The response from the owner is nothing but a attempt to make up excuses for not doing the job correctly and not providing the painter with another sander that would not eat into the dutch lap boards on the side of the home. He then just quit on the customer leaving a half finished job and total mess in the yard for the homeowner to clean up. The company response is absolutely laughable.

Message: We contacted ***** and he made an appointment to meet with us and showed up right on time. Looked over everything and sent one of his men under the house, *****, who was just as polite as could be and came out with pictures and videos. We told ***** several things we wanted to get accomplished and he had us a written estimate hand deliver in a couple of days. We ask when he could start and he said in a couple of days if that was ok. He told us what time they would arrive and shied up on time. They never stopped working except to go get lunch. They were undoubtly, some of the most polite and well mannered young men and showed respect. At the end of the day, everything was spotless and clean. The next morning, they would be right back at it again. I offered them snacks and water but they always had their own. If you want to make ***** happy, when he comes in to talk to you or just visit, because he does that to, remember he LOVES good cold bottled water. That makes him very happy!!! ****** has known ***** since he was a little boy and I’ve just known of him because I use to take his yellow lab home to him and I thought he was the prettiest dog. We would definitely recommend ***** and his crew to anyone. He has done everything he told us he would do and even more. One of the most pleasant people I have been around and so is his crew. He made it a pleasure to do business with and if we need anything else, we would call on him again for sure. He stands behind his word and his handshake. It’s a pleasure to see him and his boys want to work and show class. Hats off to this company!!! ****** & ******** *****

***** and his team was very professional,fast and depandable.His team performed outstanding work and cleaned up everything after the job.The work to our garage ceiling looks great. we will use ***** next time we need something done to our house.Everyone we meet was very nice and at the end of the job,one of the workers shook my hand and said Thank you for your business.That sure don't happen with many business these days.Thanks team for a great job.

In the crawlspace of my house, piers support wooden girders running the length of the house. One was missing a 2 x 6 wood shim between the pier and the girder, and a licensed engineer recommended it be installed by a contractor. On BBB, I specified the need for an accredited business with an A rating. Eastern Home Repair met those criteria, and their website indicated I am within their service area. I was pleased that a representative from Eastern Home Repair called me within minutes. He said he would call me just after lunch on the following Monday to tell me he was on his way to inspect the job and give me an estimate. I never heard from him again. Regrettably, it isn't possible to give a zero stars rating, so Eastern Home Repair gets one star, as a gift.

Sir, I apologize for not contacting you when I said I would, but unfortunately I had a bad knee injury early Monday morning, and with the pain I was in picking up a telephone was the last thing on my mind. We talk to and give estimates on a daily basis to 10 to 20 people a day, I have just now started calling some of the people whom I am supposed to inspect and give estimates to. I don't have salesman that work on commission to go out and prices so they can sell you a product. I price all my jobs myself. Which is how we save customers big money. Hope you find the person and company you are looking for.
