In August 2022 we brought our 2012 **** ***** to Vaughn Auto. It had been in an accident and would not start, and also had physical damage. At the time, the owner told us they were shorthanded and could not work on the car until September. We agreed as this was an extra car we'd hoped to have fixed as it gets excellent gas mileage. In October, after hearing nothing, we began contacting the company. They did not answer the phone or return messages, so I began showing up at the site. At the first visit we reviewed the car again and they told us they would transfer the car to a mechanic for the initial estimate. I have visited them every 2-4 weeks since then. Every time they tell me "someone" will call - either the owner or the mechanic. No one ever calls, I have no updates on the car's condition. I don't even know where the car IS. It has been six months and I have absolutely no information regarding the condition of my car, if it can be fixed and what it would take to fix it. I left a final voice mail for the company on Monday 2/6, asking them to give me an answer by Friday 2/10 or I would take additional action to get the information. I want a good faith estimate of time and cost to fix my car. If they cannot or will not provide this, I want to know where my car is and when I can send a truck to pick it up. Now that it has been six months and I have been ignored multiple times, I would also like the company to reimburse me for any tow truck costs if they cannot or will not fix my car, OR if I choose not to accept any estimate provided.
