I live in ****************** now and I am trying to sell my car but Ace Motor Acceptance still appears as a lien holder even though I know the car was paid off. I have tried contacting them but they are out of business now, and there is no redirection as to who to contact. I desperately need help getting into contact with someone who can help me with a Lien Release Letter.Initial Complaint

I purchased a truck in ******** that was financed through Ace Motor Acceptance Corp in 2012. The car loan for this particular vehicle has been PAID IN FULL since 2014. The vehicle described is currently titled in the **********************. The West Virginia DMV records indicate that there is still a lien on the title. The West Virginia DMV will not issue me a duplicate title without a notarized letter head that is VIN# specific from ACE MOTORS. I currently reside in the ***************** and need a clear title so I can transfer the title register my truck. VIN# ***************** WV DMV TITLE# DR75241Initial Complaint

I live in Richlands North Carolina and I purchased a car from a Dealership and initially I was making payments through them. Eventually they stopped financing in-house and started financing through Ace Motor Acceptance. My car has been paid off, and the dealership has released the lien off of my title, however, Ace motor Acceptance still has a lien on my title and they have closed down and I can't contact them. I have a 2005 KIA Sedona with over 100,000 miles on it just sitting and I can't do anything with it without my title. I'm not looking to complain about this company or anything, I just desperately need some assistance with receiving my title.Business response

I live in Savannah Georgia and I purchased a car from ****************** Dealership and initially I was making payments through them. Eventually they stopped financing in-house and started financing through Ace Motor Acceptance. My car has been paid off, and Butlers Enterprises has released the lien off of my title, however, Ace motor Acceptance still has a lien on my title and they have closed down and I can't contact them. I have a 2004 Toyota Camry with over 200,000 miles on it just sitting and I can't do anything with it without my title. I'm not looking to complain about this company or anything, I just desperately need some assistance with receiving my title.Business response

When I went to the DMV, they stated that I still had a lien on the account with you all (Ace Motor Acceptance). Is there any way that the lien can be released? I never received my title, and I've been trying to receive it for months. Butlers has released their lien but I cant request a copy of my title because there is still a lien on my account with you all. Please let me know if you need anymore documents/details.
