This company has a license number on there website, however the ******************** informed me that the number on their website belongs to **************** They said this company does not hold a license. I was originally told permits did not need to be pulled for my outdoor patio. As they progressed along, we kept addressing many safety concerns. I have photos of them unethically dumping cinder block remnants as a short cut to leveling the property. Portions of this patio are 41 above the ground. I paid them the first check on June 9, and they are still not done. I also believe the electrician should have pulled a permit too. The lights dont work due to overloading the system. My front landscaping lights that we have had for years, no longer work. The total cost is $22,882. I am not going to pay the remaining balance until proper permits are pulled, and this project is inspected upon completion. A wall should be added to any section above 30. I would also like an adjustment in the pricing. I consider the contractor agreement null and void, as they have a **** AND S.C. license number on their website.therefore permits should have been pulled.Business response

At Deck Plus we strive for customer satisfaction on every job. Unfortunately we have not lived up to our own expectations on this job as of yet. We certainly are not the kind of company that will just throw our hands up and walk away. We always find a way to make things right.
Historically permits do not need to be pulled for a patio project, or retaining wall under 4 feet. Unfortunately in this case the retaining wall ended up higher than 30" off the ground. This combination would deem the patio a walking path requiring a permit and fall protection 36 high.
To make this right Deck Plus has agreed to pull the required building permits to ensure the final product will meet the ************** Code requirements.
The owner of the company is meeting with the client onsite to ensure we will properly address her concerns.
The client reached out on Sunday night around 8:30pm to inform us her lights were not working. *************** was texting her after 10:00pm that night to address her concerns. Within 24 hours we replaced the existing transformer and solved the problem.
We expect to be paid in full after final inspection.Customer response
