On March 7th 2023 I paid $ ***** out of my pocket for upper and lower temporary dentures. A financial person at the dentist spoke to me for a few minutes but never told me I would be responsible for the total amount. I had dental insurance with Humana and of course I had every reason to believe Humana would pay their part and reimburse me . I waited a few months before i called Humana and they told me they needed "codes". I spoke to a financial person at the dentist and very rudely she told me there were no codes because the dentures were made in house. I waited weeks for these dentures and was told they were arriving from a laboratory. I would never have paid that much for dentures out of pocket knowing I had dental insurance .I don't believe these dentures were made in house and i can't understand why I wasn't told in the beginning that I would be responsible for the total amount. I would like owners ****** Alston and Dr. ***** to supply codes Humana is asking for and admit these dentures were made on the outside and not in house.Business response

To Whom it may concern,
We spoke to **************** on 1/3/2024 regarding her complaint about having to pay a particular price for her dental treatment and her insurance not covering the services. After explaining to her how her insurance works and particulars of her dental services, **************** understands that her insurance would not have covered the services no matter what, based on the annual benefits she gets from her dental insurance.
We apologize for not explaining to her more in depth, however, going forward, we will do better. She can not proceed with completing her services at this time due to financial reasons, but she may return later.
Before the call ended, she stated that she would drop the complaint.
Please let us know if there is anything else that we need to do to get this resolved.
