Paid owner ************************* $15k deposit to replace my siding on 5/18/22.2 people show up to do a minor job behind 2 electrical panels (per the contract) prior to installing the main siding.Waited 4 months for alleged material shipment. Griffin told me over several weeks that the job would start "next week".10/31/22. Salesman *************************** leaves informing me that he did not trust the owner's promises and that I should contact the owner.11/4/22 Owner stated that the job would start soon.11/7/22 Requested refund. No communication from the owner.My money has been stolen.Initial Complaint

We have a signed contract with this business since 6/6/22. Multiple occasions where we have asked for updates regarding progress and lack there of, We have exhausted multiple avenues to contact business owner and company. We have currently been without siding on our entire home for 5 + weeks, including going through a recent hurricane with no explanation or communication as to the delay. We have have nails, tools and debris scattered across our property. And most recently we have paid this company to upgrade our A/C **** unit >$8,000, They in turn hired an **** company to install this unit in which they did but they did not complete the job to hook up the Heat, When reaching out to **** company yesterday 10/19/22, They stated they NEVER received payment from Griffin roofing and construction. Essentially Griffin roofing and construction has stolen our money, has not paid the **** company invoice which was processed and sent in July. And we are now without heat due to this failure to abide by our signed contract. We have attempted multiple outreach to Griffin roofing and construction, with no response. No progress has been made on our home in > 5 weeks. This feels like abandonment at this point, and we have paid for work that has not been completed. Also noted our project failed a County inspection on 9/26 and we were never notified and nothing was done about this to date.Initial Complaint

I ******* was quoted by *** R $25000.00 for work on the inside of my home, floors, paint, wall repair, install of new lights. cabinets, bathrooms redone. Siding, and windows - The quote was for all 3 to be completed. He advised it would take about 2 weeks and the start date was 02/1/22 I was still in a hotel as of 02/14 he advised he would cover hotel cost if went past that date. Work was still not completed. on 03/02 he advised Monday would be completed - Then 03/3 I recieved a text at ****am, to advised he needed more money to complete just the inside of the house, with the siding and windsows still not started.. I then asked him to stop all activies there, and asked for detailed statement to advise where all that money was spent. There was a total of 4 guys working, 2 were fired by Blackout after 2 days and 2 remained. Their names are **** k and *****. who were hired by Blackout. I then had to reach back out to them to ask what it would cost to complete the inside project so I can move into my home. 3 jobs paid for to Blackout Construction/*** R a not one completed. My floor started to buckle and I reached out to get his insurance info, Since the floors were completed under Blackout, Liberty Mutual advised he did not have insurance at time of claim.Customer response

Griffin Roofing did a porch addition to my home August, 2019. Per paperwork, porch has a two year warranty on work. I noticed a leak and asked them to come out. Owner JJ advised that he saw nothing wrong. I had sent Steve W******* (an employee of Griffin Roofing) a video of the problem. The leak continued. I hired and paid an individual $200. to look at the problem. He discovered rotten wood. This was June, 2021. I sent pictures to Steve and I called him. He confirmed the repairs would be done under warranty and there was definitely a problem. Steve and JJ came out and discussed the repairs to be done. (June, 2021). Repair men came out, removed gutters and downspout and did a water test to see if they could determine the problem. They returned replaced the rotten boards. Steve said they had more work to do however no one has returned. Steve says repeated they are coming out. I have offered twice for a cash settlement so I can hire soneone.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/09/16) */ We honor our warranties. Most of the repair is complete. There are supply chain issues as a result of covid 19 that cannot be avoided. We anticipate delivery early next week and the repair should be finished by Friday, September 24.
