My family of four visited this restaurant on 12/18/22- there was a sign on the door that said prices have increased. We went in and sat down and given our menus on the front of the menu it said prices have increased. WE order 2 burritos off the menu that were priced at 9.99 and 2 burritos that were priced 10.50 and ordered 4 waters. Our total should have been 40.98 plus tax. I got the bill and it was 57.60. I asked the person checking us out who happened to the be the person that waited on us, she stated the prices have gone up and I said they are not reflected on your menu, she replied "No". I feel like it is illegal to charge more than it is listed on your menu, if prices had went up and the menu not changed they could have hand wrote the price on the menu or at least told us the prices in the menu were not correct. That is a 16.62 difference.Business response

Hi i an contacting from
Domingos Mexican and seafood restaurant about the complaint yes our menus are not correct we are in the process of getting new ones... we have signs at every booth stating the prices are not correct and we have a sign right when customers walk in. Whenever asked by customers about the prices we tell them the correct prices. We also have a processing fee when paying with credit card that might have also reflected on their total.

I am rejecting this response because:
The signs that were posted on our visit stated that prices had increased. No where were there viable signs indicating that the prices on the menu were not correct. I had no way of way of knowing that the prices I was looking at were not correct. I acknowledged the signs indicating that prices had gone up but again the signs didn’t tell me the prices were not correct. And how do you determine the new prices just whatever you feel like charging ?? I even asked the staff member and was offered no explanation.
