TOTAL RIP OFF! Don't fall for this BAIT AND SWITCH **** league dental office! Since it's been 8 months since my last hygiene appointment at Union Family Dental and not very happy with the way it's being run since ************************* retired, I decided to schedule a cleaning 3 weeks ago and was encouraged to purchase the Healthy Smiles Plan (2 cleanings and X-rays for $299.00) which I paid for by credit card when I arrived. After taking several X-rays ***** looked at my teeth for about 3 minutes and said, "I'm going to go get the doctor, you're probably going to need a deep cleaning treatment." A doctor came in and looked at my teeth for about 2 minutes and said something similar to what she had. He left and she started gathering all of her things together. "You mean I'm not getting a dental cleaning today?" "No, I'm sorry, not today. The ladies at the front will help you schedule your deep cleaning appointment." "I already paid $299.00 for two dental cleanings and X-rays." "Yes but we can't do those two cleanings until you get your deep cleaning treatment first." No worries, I've already called *********** and after explaining the underhanded business practice I just experienced firsthand, the fraud management agent informed me they would cancel the charge after it posts.Business response

To Whom It May *************** patient, *********************** was seen in our office on 10/11/2023. Please see attached Medical history
with our disclaimer included attached that was submitted to our office by the patient (***********************).
Also, please find a statement showing the charges for the complete exam performed by our doctor ************* taken on 10/11/2023 resulting in $129 fee, the patient paid $299 and does have a true credit of
$170 that we can refund to the patient if the patient no longer wishes to continue treatment (Will have to be done through merchant services since he disputed charge). Please see
all records attached showing *********************** was provided a service that incurred a $129 fee that we cant refund to the patient as services were rendered.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:
The dentist office blatantly and unapologetically charged me $299.00 for two cleanings and two X-rays and then pulled the classic "Bait and Switch" tactic of informing me after I had already paid the $299.00 that I would have to schedule a deep cleaning which would cost me more money. It's deceitful, it's very unprofessional, and I honestly expected much better service from a BBB accredited business. So what if they took X-rays? Did I pay for X-rays? I did not. I paid for two dental cleanings and two X-rays. They didn't do my dental cleaning on the date scheduled and they made me wait a week on top of that.
