Criminal, thieves, they come into your house and sell your items and never give you the money. I will be filing a police report and have all necessary contract, photos of all of our items, and contact information of the woman who runs this "estate sale" ring operation. The company owes us thousands. Ellyn told us to contact their bankruptcy lawyer, yet they were conducting an estate sale yesterday KNOWING they will never pay. This is criminal.Review from Anthony M

If zero stars was an option here, I would choose that. My mother signed a contract with this company in April of 2021. They picked up my parents' items, including some pristine antiques, in June of 2021. The 120 days of the contract came and went. I was told by *************************, the only person I dealt with at this company: "we will take care of you". Well, we have yet to see any money from this company and it has been a year on 6/2 that they picked up all of my parents' items. I was reassured time and time again that the items have sold, yet, no one will send my Mom or me the reconciliation or the money. Their store is now closed, I've sent between ****** emails to ****** and have called her numerous times. Her voicemail box is full so that I cannot leave a message and she does not call back. She did respond to an email to let me know that she no longer works for this company. This company is a scam. You will never see a dime from them if you use them, so find someone else. Their website says they are BBB accredited, but the actual BBB website doesn't reflect this. Run fast, run far. Find someone else for your estate sale or consignment, because you won't get any money from this company.Review from BB B

if zero stars were available, that's what I would give. STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY. THE LIST IS TOO LONG TO SHARE. THEY TOOK OUR MERCHANDISE AND WE HAVE NOT RECEIVED PAYMENT, THEY USE THE BBB LOGO ON THEIR WEBSITE BUT THEY ARE NOT A MEMBER.THEY DAMAGED OUR HOUSE WHILE MOVING OUT FURNITURE WHICH THEY HAVE NOT PAID FOR...AND TODAY I REGISTERED A COMPLAINT WITH *** OF THE *********** AND I AM JUST GETTING STARTED!Review from Michael P

I also had a horrible experience with this business. My mother passed away and I hired them at the beginning of 2020. I initially met with a representative A**** and signed a contract. Toward the end of the sale another representative J***** took over and completed the sale. An extended period of time had passed, and I had not received payment. I contacted A**** and she appeared to be surprised and told me to call J*****. J**** finally sent me a check and an itemized list of the items that were sold. The list was missing several large and valuable items including jewelry I had given to A****. A**** advised me she would have the jewelry appraised and get back to me which never happened. J**** informed me that A**** was no longer with the business. J**** assured me she would look for the missing items and get back to me. Two of the missing items were located in their warehouse. I have not been paid for the missing items, the items located in the warehouse or the jewelry. J**** stopped communicating with me. It has been two years! I am from another state, and they took full advantage of that. I am going to seek legal advice.Review from Jason H

I hired Estate Sales by Jonesy after my mother passed away in May 2021. ****** D. and **** stopped by the house in ************** **** after driving two hours to review all of the items I needed to sell. ****** assured me that anything that does not sell during the estate sale would be brought back to their consignment warehouse in ******, ** to sell there. I was told once the items sell I would receive the 60% of the sales items. The Estate sale was held on June ***** 2021. After the sale I had to follow up to find out how it went. Almost a month went by as I tried to follow up. When I finally got ahold of ****** D., she told me her phone broke and she was unable to call me. She used this excuse on several occasions. I requested an itemized list of the items sold as well as the list of items her company would bring back to sell at their consignment store. I followed up again and was told as per the contract they had 30 days to pay me. She told me that I would receive the document with payments soon. A month went by with no response. I tried to call several times, but could not get a hold of ******. After waiting three months I finally had to get my attorney involved. He sent the estate sale company and the holding company a letter on my behalf. After the company received the letter, ****** finally responded and sent a sheet of paper with a list of the small items which sold during the sale in June, along with a check for the items sold. There was no apology for the delay and the envelope and check were not from a business account. The address did not match their business address. Our contract was a 60/40% split. Since I never received a list of items it is in "breach of contract"--this sale represents thousands of dollars, large pieces of contemporary furniture and a sauna. I have a list of items they have in their possession or have sold already, I also have the images of said items, and images of my items in their showroom. My attorney sent a second letter to request they comply and send me the list of the items in their possession as well as the items sold. It has now been over 6 months and I have received no correspondence, and do not expect to. These are criminals disguised as a business selling stolen merchandise. The reviews on the estate sale company site are from their employees including ****** D. Beware of this company and their shady practices. If you have been affected please consider joining our multi-district litigation, class action lawsuit against them.Review from Diane D.

We also had an estate sale and per oral agreement ************************* was to take 50%. I had to continuously ask for a copy of the contract. The day of the estate sale which she only sent info to her friends, I put it on Nextdoor that morning as I didn't see any listings on her site. She sold 1 expensive item to her friend but clothing that a man wanted she would not sell and I was told I should not be at the sale as she had her own way of selling. This was the 4th of September and I have not seen any money as of yet or any listings of all of the items she took to sell in her consignment shop. She has at least 5 different phone numbers all of which you cannot here her name being said and no messages can be left. If you do get through to her (by accident as she doesn't answer your calls) she has an excuse or pretends to be someone else. She tells me it takes 3 months to get your money. My husband and I went back this past weekend to the consignment shop to get our most expensive pieces back. The gentleman who was working kept calling her but wouldn't let me talk to her. After arguing for an hour he finally let us take back 3 items after threatening to call the ******************* I asked to have copy of our items and a check. Have not received anything or any calls back. I also have gotten in touch with another customer who also had problems selling through this scam company.Review from Richard S

We had an estate sale hosted by this company's representative, Jotana D*****, on June 18-19, 2021. As per the contract we were supposed to receive payment on proceeds from this sale within 30 days after completion as well as an itemized list of items sold and price. It has been 90 days since the close of the sale and not only have we received no payment in this regard but in the days following the sale we have lost all e-mail/text/phone communication with J D***** and a certified letter has been returned to our legal representative as "non-deliverable". Our contract was 60/40% and we not not received any $ in this regard.. Their agent is in "breach of contract"--this sale represents thousands of dollars, nor hundreds of $. I have numerous other comments to make regarding J. D***** and her associates mismanagement/haphazard/unprofessional activities on sale sale that are too numerous to list in this communication. Your assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated.Estate Sales By Jonesy Response

Mr *******, as per our contract we did attempt to mail out your reconciliation and payment. However, we have not received the check back but have moved forward and sent your check out via priority mail today. As for any "mismanagement " you may claim please feel free to send me any and all proof via email at ****@estatesalesbyjonesy.com as listed on our website.
