Purchased a vehicle (Cadillac Escalade) on my birthday 2 months ago, the buying process was smooth. Their team was really nice on the surface and worked fast to get the deal done, however, 2 months later I see why the deal was done with such urgency as I've already had to replace a $576 throttle body and the vehicle broke down on me and my sons leaving a Hornets game, I took it to Auto ************* which is where the dealer suggested only to find out that I would need to replace a $4,900 transmission right here at Christmas time. Buyers, yes I know it's up to us to look into secondary warranties when purchasing used vehicles but it also businesses like this one to also have the integrity and not put vehicles with bad transmissions on their lot. The owner of Auto Lube &Repair even told me that he's not sure how the vehicles passed ** inspection to be sold as the transmission was clearly bad prior to me buying it in October. I've texted the salesman a video of the vehicle malfunctioning prior to having it towed asking of any prior issues with the transmission but never got a response. Not here to bad mouth just stating the facts that this situation went from decent to horrible extremely fast and it's unfortunate. I hope others have a better experience. Also, in the 2 months time I never received the registration nor tag for the vehicle that is now deemed as a lemon by ** Lemon Law.Business response

This customer purchased a Cadillac Escalade and DID NOT purchase a warranty through us. ****** proceeded to purchase a 3rd party warranty. Two months after purchase he started having transmission issues he states. He took the Escalade to his friend at a body shop and had the Escalade looked at and ****** states that his friend suggested to replace some part. ****** took the vehicle to a 3rd party mechanic shop and did not allow them to diagnose but told them to only replace the part his friend suggested. The 3rd party shop replaced the part and it did not fix the issue. ****** then tried to file a warranty claim with the 3rd party warranty company he purchased outside from the dealership transaction. He finds out his warranty does not cover powertrain items. So now he is calling us to repair the vehicle. As we told ****** that our hands are tied due to him purchasing an AS-IS vehicle and not purchasing a warranty from us. He has had multiple different people put their hands on this vehicle and purchased a warranty from another company that doesn't cover anything.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: Some of their statement is false. Multiple people havent put their hands on the vehicle, only the mechanic that they suggested I go to. And I didnt purchase a warranty after the transmission issues began, I purchased it beforehand but that warranty did not cover the power train items. Holes in their response.
