Company : Vast Equipment And Truck Sales Date of Purchase: 4/12/2023 Account: #***********************************: ***************************** Down Payment $25,000 Total Loan Amount: $87,358.00 I have had a horrible experience with this company. I put $25,000 as a downpayment for a 6 axle Mac Granite Dump Truck and it was a lemon. A friend drove it home for me because I was under the impression that my license were blocked. He waited until we reached ********,**** to tell me the gears where jumping from 4th to 7th and that the transmission was messed up. I had the truck checked out and found we discovered that the Vin# didn't match and that DOT would shut me down if I didn't have the correct information for the truck. A week after I purchased the truck I voiced my concerns and they assured me that everything on my paperwork was correct and they needed me to send them my ****** back. After further investigation I realized the title wasn't in the company's name. The finance company CAG told me not to send the title back and they would go about it the legal way and then all communication with both companies stop. I repeadtly call for a resolution for the transmission and no response from Vast or CAG. I went to have a mechanic look at the truck on the lot where I was storing it and found out it had a tracker on it and was reposed. I never got to make anemone or make the first payment on the truck. I tried again to contact both companies and still no resolution. I went onVast website a week later and there was my truck up for sale with a new Transmission in it. I believe that was the plan all along to take my money and fix the tuck and resale it. I have all my documents and can send them over if I need to. I just want my money back that was my savings and the start of my family business. this whole situation is wrong and needs to be corrected.

Lemons as stated in the complaint pertain to NEW vehicles..as in a
brand new car.  You cannot put a tag name of lemon on a 20 year old
commercial truck that has hauled millions of tons of material.  It is
most likely going to have issues, it is 20 years old and has been off
road, in and out of rock quarries. on job sites that are off road and
**** terrain.  One should expect that they would have to work on this
type of USED equipment.  The truck in this complaint was on consignment
from a customer and did not belong to Vast ********************** & *********************************************,
we were just the broker on this particular truck.  This is common
practice among all dealerships and or banks across the US.  This
complaint states the total loan amount was $87,358.00 which is also not
true, from the documents attached, this was the total sales amount less
the customers $25,000 down payment required by the lending bank not by
the dealership Vast Equipment & Truck Sales.  This complaint also
states the truck was repossessed  by CAG (the lender) then implies the
truck came back to Vast, had a new transmission installed then placed
back up for sale.  This is absolutely not true!  CAG may have
repossessed the truck because the customer did not make his payments and
this is what happens when you do not pay your payments on anything that
you finance...BUT the truck never came back to Vast and relisted for
sale.  It is still in possession of the lender CAG right now, we have
confirmed this with the lender.  I have attached the Bill of Sale and
the AS IS NO WARRANTY that was signed by the customer.  These documents
plainly state by signing and purchasing the truck you are aware that you
are buying it AS IS and there is NO WARRANTY of any kind.  Many things
in the statement are false and all signed documents releases Vast
Equipment & Truck Sales from any further actions or
      responsibilities.
