On 07/13/2022 I signed a sales agreement for a garage to be built at my home. I sent them a deposit of $1,331.08 and was told as soon as my concrete was completed, the lead time would be 6-8 weeks. January 9th came and I text Renee and asked her if I could get the phone number to the manufacturer. She provided me the number to ******** ********. I spoke with them and they advised me I was out of their service area, but they agreed to build the building but there would not be a lead time. Basically just whenever they came into the area, AND the building WOULD NOT have any warranty because I was one county out of their service area. I then asked who had my deposit and how I could get it back. ******** ******** informed me that Renee KNEW ALL ALONG that these were their issues and that Renee was supposed to have informed me of all these issues. I then called renee and she said she was going to call me back after she called ******** ********. After about 5 hours of not hearing back from Renee, I text her and asked if she heard from ******** ********. Her reply was "Wes said we'll refund the down payment. We knew it was one county out of the service area but we're told it wouldn't be an issue. And we never knew about the warranty mess. So the only thing to do is refund the down payment." next text said "it takes about 30 days. Did you write a check or use a card?" I said we wrote a check, and said I appreciate the refund. On February 10th I text Renee and said it had been 30 days and was checking on the status of the check!! I still have not gotten my check back from them!!!Business response

#1 buildings has taken my deposit with no install date and I keep getting the run around. I asked for my deposit and they refuse. I was told 1-4 weeks then changed to 6-8 weeks with no install date in sight. They also blocked me on social media and will not return calls or emails.Business response

This is a construction based business and lead times due change depending on weather and the amount of orders submitted per week. Customer was blocked on Facebook because all he was doing was leaving ignorant comments on multiple posts. Just like it states on the contract lead times can change and these lead times are estimates only. Customer will be scheduled as soon as possible. Also just like the contract states there are now refunds on the down payment if the customer wants to cancel the order.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:
I wasn't ignorant on Facebook, I stated on posts that my building was not built, company will not answer phone calls. They did however text message me back stating that lead times were extended. With my contract i never received a lead time chart like they were saying. I did not get a lead time chart until contract was signed.
I was told 1-4 weeks , then 6-8 weeks now it's an indefinite wait for my building. It's not my fault they were selling items that they did not have physical possession of. Now I have to pay for storage on my items that would be going into the building. I am not the only one in this situation, I received Messages from others that are having the same problems I am because of my posts that I put on Facebook .
