The medical care received at this practice was good, however the insurance/billing practices and customer support have been utterly frustrating. This practice is in-network for me but without my knowledge sent pathology to an out of network lab (****** claim). On top of that the lab they use (Dominion) expects payment from you without even informing you that you owe them. The charges were on their way to collection before I even got an invoice. When you give consent for a biopsy to be taken you apparently are giving consent to possibly being charged for services from an out of network provider. Don't bother informing them that you only want to deal with in-network service providers, they don't listen. And good luck trying to find someone to speak with when you call them. And when you do the information you are given over the phone has seldom been correct in my case. The communication path within the entire organization is a circus.

Staff at this office sat on a request for an already prescribed medication for a month, then acted like it was my 74-year-old mothers issue to get her former doctor to write a letter so they MIGHT get the busy Doctor at this office to review a request for a repeat medication. If the Doctor desires only surgeries, perhaps he could hire an in-office associate to actually review case decisions? Aziothiaprine/Imuran is listed on the **************** of ************ as a drug used in certain autoimmune conditions such as dermatomyositis, lupus, etc. ******************* of ****** and *********************** **************** lists it in management of rheumatoid arthritis. *********************** says its used for severe atopic eczema. ******* Review) I add to the other one-star reviews. My mother had an appointment set up months before we arrived from the West Coast. She saw an M.A. who said her prescription request would be no problem- just call. Mom called three times before reaching an office manager. After a month of delay and no response to three ********** pharmacist calls, OM came back with, we do not prescribe this medication; its not for skin. This would be surprising news to the **************** of Dermatology (AAD), or the *********************** that lists this medication as treatment for eczema-or any association who retains the board certification of Moms former dermatologist (****************) who prescribed it 5 years ago. Perhaps the MAs at this office have never interacted with multi-use medicines that can be used for organ Transplantation AND severe atopic dermatitis/urticaria/eczema? Apparently *********** is only interested in surgeries, and (no doubt) his staff are not looping him into decisions. The staff apparently are unable to answer phones or do ****** searches.
