I had to visit urgent care on 5/9/2023, I gave the office staff my insurance (they didnt apply it). I received a bill one month later for the visit, with no insurance applied, I called and spoke with them about adding on the insurance, they did and issued me a new bill. The new bill that was sent to me in September of 2023 was $333.24, after insurance was applied. I paid this amount in full on 8/9/23. One month later I received a bill for $0. I assumed that meant there was no outstanding charge. However on 11/9/23 I revived a bill for $111.54, claiming the total of the original bill was $331.50 and that I had only paid $219.96 on 6/21/23. This company has no record of the $333.24 payment that I made on 8/9/23. I have called to speak with numerous people, submitted my credit card statements to them, etc and they still have not followed up or been able to come to a conclusion about this payment. On 12/14/23 I was contacted by a debt collector saying that this company was taking the next steps to get the $111.54, even though they should have been investigating this the whole time. Something fraudulent or, at least, careless has happened here $333.24 is a lot of money to lose. I have submitted my proof to the collection agency and now I will be disputing the charge on my credit card as this has become absolutely ridiculous.
