Purchase 2023 Escalade in September. June 7th 2024 leaving the airport vehicle went into neutral @50mph. Struggled to pull to side of the road. Vehicle towed to dealership. They say engine froze and has to be replaced. A month later no eta when a engine will arrive or when I can expect repairs. I purchased vehicle for business and I'm loosing thousands by the week. The ** have never contacted me only the service manager. They have no empathy and little concern for my plight. I've learned that this is a known issue and that other owners have had the same experience. It never crossed my mind to check out reviews before purchasing an Escalade. I normally Purchase all my vehicles from ********* in Charlotte at the time they didn't have the vehicle I needed. I regret buying this at South Cadilacc. It doesn't feel like family. I know without a doubt that ******** would have given me a loaner. In addition I can't get a guarantee reimbursement. Ive spent $1500 in rentals so that I can keep some of my clients commitments. This has been the most stressful vehicle Purchase in my lifetime. Never expected such sub par service from such a prestigious brand or dealership. As I post this there's no daylight in sight. One lady went 6 months while continuing to make monthly car and Insurance payments. What a sour experience Cadilacc!!!Review from Juan C

I bought a car from this dealer at the end of June. Salesman was like take it for a drive. I did that. I notice if a few items that need their. one of them was the *** I heard something of flap of where the comes out of. I end up changing the flap for it. the salesman and his manager told me that it was supposed to sound like that. I had the car for a little over 2 months and now I have to replace to whole engine due to having a oil leak. DONT buy any used car from them!!!!!Cadillac of South Charlotte Response

All pre-owned vehicles undergo a thorough inspection to identify and rectify any ****************** issues. We will gladly supply a copy of the inspection, any work that was performed and a copy of the CarFax report. I do see that you were offered a couple options for an extended vehicle contract and had declined that coverage. As much as we desire every vehicle to be free from future mechanical concerns that is simply not possible. This is the same reasoning new vehicle manufactures offer a warranty on the purchase of a brand-new vehicle. Vehicles are complex machines with thousands of moving parts, computers and electrical systems that can fail. We would be happy to investigate viable options to trade you into an alternate vehicle if that would be of interest.Review from Nancy W.

I hv been a customer of ********************** since 2017. I hv a 2014 ATS Cadillac. On 2/3/23, my vehicle cut off & I had it towed to this business for Svc. It took 6 days for the mechanic to diagnose my issue. I was told that coolant had leaked into my ECM module. After numerous text msgs & calls, I finally got my car repaired after paying $3,200 for them to rewire 14 wires to my ECM. I drove my car home on Thursday 2/9/23. On Saturday 2/11/23, my check engine light came back on. I contacted the ******** & scheduled an appt for Monday 2/14/23. They did a spot diagnosis & determined "supposedly" that my Catalytic converter was malfunctioning. I had no symptoms (crackly noise,smell of sulfur or rotten eggs). Mb after an hr, they come to me with a new code for a new repair. I told **** that none of these codes were an issue until they rigged my car. I am a Disabled Veteran & need my transportation. They told me no loaners were available, but 2 cars were parked n the loaner spots. I feel taken advantage of as a woman. Their mechanics seem incompetent to ******** hvng to pay for their mistakes. My car has been there since 2/14/23 & 2day is 2/16/23. No text abt the status of my car. I had to text them to find out my car's status. They were still trying to diagnose the issue w my car 2day. I want to be compensated for my inconvenience, no loaner car. I paid $164 for a rental car, bc they didn't havea loaner. Something needs 2b done abt their sorry customer Svc. I was told they only hv 5 ******************* doing the best that they can. They are abt cash ****** any customer that brings their car in for service. I have been a customer for over 20 years with ********************** of the South and bought no less than 6 Cadillacs from them, mostly under the Arnold Palmer ownership. I have never been more disappointed in the level of customer service that they now offer the customers. After numerous calls and messages over the last several weeks to their service department, I have yet to receive a callback. Even a call to Manager ******************* was not returned. Fortunately, there are other Cadillac dealerships that I can use. My regret is now that I referred so many customers to them over the years. I think it is important to share this experience and suggest potential customers look at other reviews.Review from Dawn N

I'm sharing my experience so hopefully someone else won't make the same mistake I made. I went in for a 30k mile Cadillac ********* Change ($79.95), which included the following services: ********************************************** Interval Indicator -Rotate tires -Inspect and Adjust Tire Pressures -Brake Inspection -Perform Multi-Point Inspection and was upsold on getting a ******************* and Brake Fluid Exchange, recommended by J in Service. I specifically asked how much each service would cost and he said $230 for ******************* and $165 for the Brake Fluid Exchange and while I thought that sounded high I figured I'd get it done while I was there if it was being recommended.When I got the invoice to pay there were other creeping charge added: $49.10 extra for a Fuel Kit and $37.78 for brake fluid and an additional EPA and shop charge for $64.93. Which amounts to an additional $151.81 more than we discussed when I authorized the service. In addition, Cadillac only changed my oil and didn't not provide any of the other services listed above: check tire pressure, rotate tires, etc. I ended up stopping at ********* on the way home because my tires were low and had to get them filled.When I called Cadillac and finally connected General Manager to discuss my invoice (4 days of playing phone tag and keep away), he indicated they don't price match with other dealerships in the area and basically these are the prices. I had already called ********* and was told their shop charges are $3-5/service, fuel kits and fluids are included in the price of the service and pricing was around $179.95 for each service. I'll be bringing my business to them from now on.I'll add there used to be a great service crew, which I never had any issues in four years, but it seems like they've all left -- not surprising if this is how management is running this dealership.Review from John W

2019 CT6 Repairs - I want to leave a review and detail the professionalism I experienced with a repair at Cadillac of South Charlotte. ****** checked my vehicle in and was highly professional. The vehicle required two electronic module replacements, a firmware upgrade, and wiper blades. When your dream car requires electronic work, you always are nervous something will come back not functioning correctly. Supercruise, heated wheel, adaptive cruise, and lane change are just a few of the intermittently failing issues. This was not a aging battery issue as some internet searches suggest.The repair took several visits to resolve due to my work schedule, holidays, and delay in parts. ****** promptly updated me each time I left the vehicle and the progress they could achieve. He also explained what the car required and worked with my concerns anytime I left my vehicle. I can't say enough about the professional service from ****** and the mechanics. The dealership is immaculate, and you receive a free wash each time you pick up your car. I never let any dealership clean my vehicle, but I may change my habits after seeing several other vehicles being picked up. The customer lounge is one of the best if you spend time waiting for your vehicle.If you are looking for a particular dealership, I am glad I trusted my 2019 Cadillac CT6 with their professional experts, and may I suggest asking for ****** when you visit.Review from Rev Mildred M
