In July 2021, a screen popped up on my computer with a phone number and I called the number. They made me believe that they were associated with ********* and would help me with my computer problem. The screen was locked so I couldn't use it. They eventually fixed my computer and I paid them $279. The check was made out to Ultrashop LLC. Now 2 years later I am receiving harassing phone calls telling me that I owed them $5700 for a subscription that I never signed up for. They told me that if I paid $1900 they would cancel the subscription and I would never hear from them again. At first I agreed to pay that amount and then I went online and saw that several people had issues with them. I canceled the check and notified my bank about this. Now I am receiving harassing phone calls, actually 6 just this morning and they are telling me that I did not send my check so now they are going to take $8900 out of my account. I need the phone calls to stop and I never signed anything that said it was a subscription. This time the company name was ****** Mart located in **************, **.I sure hope you can help with this. It is very nerve racking and they need to stop harassing me.

I had an experience very similar to one of the other persons complaining about this company. Unfortunately, I do not have the dates. I do not wish to pursue a claim, as I feel it was my fault for being so naive to believe these people truly represented *********.I had a problem with my computer and a number appeared on my screen. Ordinarily, I would have ignored such, but this time I called the number. I was on the phone with them for quite a while and sadly gave them way too much information. I cannot remember what the problem was, but it was resolved (on its own or by them I do not know) and I sent them approx. $300. Since then, I have received at least three phone calls from them telling me that I owe them $8,000 for subscription fee to the service they provided and they have proof that I signed off on it. They tell me their lawyers will be in touch.I know I never knowingly signed off on anything and suggested that they have their lawyers contact me. I have not heard from them in a few months so assume they have given up? I had almost forgotten about it until I came across their name and number in my address file and thought I'd check to see if BBB had any info about them. I see you do and sadly it is very similar to my experience. I can probably locate the check by digging through statements if BBB is interested in knowing more.Cannot believe how dumb I was to fall for this, but they seemed to have a lot of info about me and my computer that only ********* should have. And yes, they said they represented ********* service.Thank you for hearing my story..

The firm called indicating they were Microsoft Help. As I had issues with my computer, after discussions with them felt they legitimately could fix the problems. Once they did what they had to do, they asked for $299 which though I was upset with, I forwarded my personal cheque to ******** ********************************************* A few weeks ago I received a call from the firm stating they had gone bankrupt and would be refunding my money. They compromised my bank account by trying to charge several thousands of dollars through my account which was quickly rectified by my bank. I have asked for them to send me a cheque or money order but they say that is up to your firm. I still have not received any funds. They tell me that all cases have been referred to the Better Business Bureau who would be settling all accounts. This is why I am writing to you. I am looking to get my $299 back.
