I moved to a new state in March 2022 and requested a refund on my remaining services with Sona Dermatology and MedSpa since there is not a location in my new city. I was approved for the refund on July 13th, 2022 and I was told I could expect to receive my refund in 4-6 weeks from that date. I followed up around the 8 week mark, as I still had not received the refund at that point. Week after week, I was told that my check would be arriving soon. But round the three month mark, I was notified that the refund had actually been held up in processing because there was an error in the amount I was supposed to be refunded. Then they proceeded to inform me that I'd actually be receiving a smaller refund in the amount of $916.22, which was less than both parties had originally agreed to in the first refund request form. Once I resubmitted the refund request form with the updated amount, I was notified me that the check was being processed the week of November 1st and that I should receive it within a week or so of that date. Another month went by of being told week after week the check would be arriving soon. Then, the person who I had been in touch with from the ************, NC office left the company. Since then I have been in contact with a manager in the Raleigh office. On December 15th, I received a check in the mail – but frustratingly, the payment was made out to the order of the Sona Dermatology and MedSpa employee who I had originally been in contact with. Because of this error, I was unable to cash the check. Sona claimed they reissued another check once I notified them of the error and said that it was put in the mail the week before Christmas. However, it still has not arrived. I'm attaching all email correspondence since July 13th along with both signed refund request forms. I have been trying to obtain this refund for six months now and would greatly appreciate any help. Thank you so much.
