On Jan. 18th, 2023 I scheduled an appointment with Ms. ********************** for Jan. 31st for a hair service and a $25 appointment hold fee. On Jan. 24th, 2023 I realized I no longer needed the Jan 31st appointment and reached to Ms. ********************** via text to cancel the appointment. On the morning on Jan. 25th, 2023 Ms. ********************** responded "Thanks for letting me know" to my cancellation notice. On Feb. 4th, 2023 I inquired via text about the $25 fee being returned and a request to return the funds was made through Cashapp. The appointment was canceled 7 days prior to the event and expectation was the deposit fee to secure a date and time would have been returned. Ms. **********************'s response to my text is below . ."Hey hey, hope your day is going well. I just got a request for the $25 from your husband today. Unfortunately that $25 deposit is non refundable if the appt is cancelled"My communication with Ms. ********************** via text on Nov. 29th, 2022 describes the purpose of the deposit. She texted "Sure I do require a $25 deposit through cash app to secure the date and time I hope that's okay"No cancellation penalty is mentioned.Customer response

Ms. ********************** is a business that operates under her given name as a hairstylist. I have attached a screenshot of her cosmotology licensure information. License number # ****.
