Tuesday, June 14, 2022 I spent $220 for a braiding style from a stylist at Marly’s Hair Braiding, that I had to take out after only 3 days. Besides the fact that the style was executed poorly and caused tension bumps all over my head, they do not practice proper cleanliness in the shop. There is no hand washing between clients and before/after the completion of a style. They are not sanitizing and disinfecting hair tools that are shared between clients throughout the day. Many stylists are unlicensed and just come to work for the day or week. There are no licenses up for display for clients to view. The overall cleanliness and organization of the shop is on a clear decline. Not to mention horrible and untimely customer service if you are not happy with your style. Slow response times and an overall disregard for poor work. Owner is never in shop and employees will not offer a phone number or email to speak directly with the owner. The “shop” phone number is merely the personal cell phone number of an employee who works in the shop. They have an ********* **** ********************) with an almost 30,000 account following where they have pictures advertised of styles that are not their work. I am not the only person who has had a negative experience coming to this shop. They continue to sell a standard they cannot uphold.
