Terrible. Been over 3 weeks that one of their customer rear-end me and still performing the accident investigation. Still drinking my wrecked car since it is my only car to get around. My tire pop on the freeway which is part of the damaged when I got rear-ended and they said anything after the accident is my expense even though I wasnt provided with a rental car so I dont have to drive my badly damaged car. I feel like an Abused victim. The claim Representives will not tell me in details what is going on with where the investigation is at. She will repeatedly say it is still being investigated and will let you know when the investigation is concluded. Shameful. Beware of IAT insurance. IAT insurance needs to be investigated

It has been 16 months since I moved, and I still havent received a ***** from these people. Ive been getting the runaround by an agent who claims he doesnt know the worth of my things; why did I find answers easily online in less than 5 minutes? They are the worst, and I will not do business with them again. Ever.

Thank you for reaching out to IAT Insurance Group. We appreciate the opportunity to respond. We would like advise that *************** claim was received by IAT Insurance Group on November 15, 2022. Initially, our insured had attempted to resolve the claim themselves but could not come to a conclusion, therefore it was submitted to *** for resolution. The *** adjuster attempted on numerous occasions to reach ************* through voicemail and emails. This is what caused the delay in handling the claim. On April 11, 2023 ************* returned our call, and we were able to resolve the claim in its entirety. This matter is now resolved.

A ridiculous experience dealing with this company. We lost our home insurance last year because we placed a claim for water damage from a broken pipe. We had been with that company, for 11 years and they dropped us because we placed two claims in 5 years. So IAT Insurance group was recommended by our agent. **************************** Company was the Policy holder and IAT Insurance group was the other agency involved. Not sure who works in concert with whom...but************ sent us a letter tell us that an agent would come out and inspect the home. After the inspection of our beautiful home which was built 15 years ago, and we have replaced every system of the home over the years..new pipes new roof new air conditioner. Gorgeous, thinking no problem the agent from ********, or was it ********** or was it IAt Insurance (We don't know because Insurance companies don't explain anything, and they try to confuse their customers) One thing is for sure they don't want you making any claims. So for 11 years we paid $6000 yearly for the coverage of our home. We placed two claims over the years one for wind damage on our roof and a broken water pipe totaling $8000 in damage money we received back. So do the math that's $66,000. So that's the insurance game, Right? So IAT sends a guy out and turns us down for one thing. The letter tells us we have dead vines all over our house. It's IVY and it's winter so they look brown now but it's IVY. I send them pictures of the verdant Ivy in Spring ...and they reject us. How idiotic is that? I mean, how many houses across the world have IVY covering them? This agent assessed our house as too much of a risk because of IVY. So, I sent them pictures of the IVY they still turned us down. Now we have a new insurance carrier...but I had to let people know that if you are thinking of doing business with IAT Insurance, ********.com or ****************************--don't. I don't know how they train reps but this was a ridiculous experience.

******** Insurance Managers LLC the managing general underwriter and servicing agent for Occidental Fire and Casualty appreciates the opportunity to address the property inspection concerns as outlined in your review. We understand how you feel about your home and while the Ivy growing on your home may be beautifully appealing to you, from our experience as an insurance provider, over time vegetation roots such as Ivy causes irreversible damage to the exterior of dwellings and may also harbor insects which can cause possible uninsured damage to the structure. It is unfortunate we were not able to continue with the insurance coverage you had applied for due to the vegetation growth on your home. Our notice provided adequate time to remove the vegetation and continue coverage which was not accepted. We would welcome the opportunity to review any new information or photos resolving these concerns which may allow us to reconsider our ability to insure your home. Please have your agent contact us via email at *************************** with additional information for consideration.

What is amazing is that you continue to perpetuate a lie. Which is indicative of the business model you are somehow protecting--which is absurd. Ivy grows on millions of American homes. Ivy grows on homes all over the world. It is not a hazard in any way. Animals live there? Birds, sure--they also live in trees...Insects? Not really. We have an exterminator that makes sure we aren't overrun by rodents or insects...Your experience or what you think is "your experience" is one reason I reached out to the Better Business Bureau. Potential clients should know how skewed your company policy is--your response is just more justification in my book. Ivy adheres to the walls on the family dwelling and can actually insulate and creates a natural --look at all the beautiful homes all over the Meditteranean, Italy and Greece...it is a stunning look that makes the homes look as if they a part of the natural landscape. Only an insurance company agent who looks at this pleasing and age old aesthetic as "risk". This is a naturally occurring process of vegetation growing on a wall. How limited and plain ignorant this company is ...is beyond words really. It's just bad business. Bad decision making ...and I hope that you lose more and more clients until your management team is forced to be changed and an actual business leader can take control over there at ******** insurance. Anyone else--reading this yes of course we found another company to insure our beautiful home that is covered with Ivy. They are not silly and we are paying them $6000 a year for the extreme risk they are taking in offering us coverage. They aren't charging us "extra" that's how high it is to get basic insurance in **. Embrace your Ivy folks--stay away from ******** insurance--and thank you better Business Bureau for posting cause If i saved one potential customer from doing business with this ridiculous company--I've done MY job. Best. ;) *****

Last year 2020-21 it took over a year for them to pay a Workmans Comp bill on a w/c issue that has been documented and paid yearly for over 20 years with the previous Insurance company. I kept getting the runaround from the agent that was handling the case with constatnt excused as to why the bill hadn't been paid. I went to that agents supervisior to no avail and finally wrote to the company. Like I said it took over a year for the bills to be paid. I an now going through the same thing again with a bill from Aug of 2021. these bills have not been paid despite repeated requests for payment. Again I keep getting excuses and the runaround when trying to get them paid. I Think this is a horriable company and wouldn't wish them on anyone. IF YOU CAN, STAY AWAY FROM THEM.

We apologize for any delay in getting your claim set up and paid. Your claim came over to us in a closed status from prior carrier and did not have all the materials needed in order to quickly get your claim set up. Had it come over open, it would have been an easier transition. Many medical bills that are submitted now required a Tax Form W9 be submitted before any medical bills can process. The bills in question were delayed due to this reason. IAT has reached out to this customer to resolve any pending issues.

IAT insurance reached out to me and explained the delays in settlling my claim.
According to them, in one instance they had sent the check to the wrong address and were reissuing said chedck. As far as the W-9's they needed, they said the same thing last year when were were going through this. If they know they need W-9's every time there is a claim, then they should just request them right away instead of delaying until the customer complains.
At this point I am pleased that the process is moving forward and hope to have no further delays in the future.

Horrible experience, submitted claim after multiple calls and emails received a response 3 months later. The response did not even align with what we discussed with the adjuster or what the pictures depicted.

Unfortunately we had a flood in our home on March 2, 2021. Our claim has still not been resolved. Our experience with this company has been a nightmare! Our claim agent has changed at least 9 times. It has been 9 months and we still haven't been paid for all the damage. Representatives promise they will call back and they do not. We've gone through months and months of stress, aggravation and depression. The mishandling of our claim is disgraceful. Our current issue involves a payment that we told was mailed to us on November 22 and we haven't received it and it is December 17. I have made 35 calls to this company the past week and no-one has been able to find out why we haven't received the check. Nothing about our claim has been satisfied in a timely manor. We still have items that have not been paid for. This claim should have been closed months ago. We have to continue to fight with them. Do not choose this company!!!!!!

I'll give negative rating for IAT Insurance Group. They took 3 months for my claim on the backup water damage in the basement and finally said it wont cover even though the policy documents says so. Beware of them, they are a big scam. Since they wont get customers directly and tried to buy out from ********** Sure like companies without customer's knowledge. Please be aware of them if your policy is hooked up to them directly or indirectly. They made our family to suffer for 3 months waiting on their response keeping the basement damaged with mold and bad smell that caused us so much health issues and more damages to structure, utilities, carpet, electronics, laundry and bathroom. They denied even though field adjuster confirmed the same. We had to go through physical, mental stress with so much depression in those 3 months and finally they called to inform the claim got declined. I am trying to sue them to stop doing this to any other customers and go out of their business to save customers in the future. ******PLEASE BEWARE OF THEM, THEY ARE SCAM AND DON'T GET THEM DIRECTLY OR THROUGH ***** HOME POLICY****

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention.

IAT received the claim for backup of a sump pump with 1-2' water in basement on 09/02/21. The claim was inspected by an Independent Adjuster and determined an accumulation of rain/flood waters overwhelmed the drain system causing a water backup into the basement. The Field Adjuster explained to the Insured that they should call a mitigation company. Unfortunately, the policy does not cover water which backs up through sewers or drains, or overflows or is discharged from a sump, sump pump or related equipment, as a direct or indirect result of flood or surface water regardless of whether any of the loss is caused by an act of nature or is otherwise caused.

We had to email and call multiple times. Response from this company was pretty much none existing. Our claim had two insurance adjusters for flood damage caused by a broken pipe : One for the structure of the house, and another for the "desk" adjuster to include the contents that were damaged.
Finally had to contact ***** (which farms out to IAT for home insurance) and INSIST that ***** help us. Finally got someone at IAT to move on this and a payment for the structure damage was approved and we received the payment.
      BUT...
We are still waiting to hear from the desk adjuster for the damage to contents. We sent a spreadsheet and pictures months ago and we are still waiting to hear back from IAT. We have called and sent emails. No response yet. We filed the claim on September 11, 2021.

Horrible insurance company -- ***** needs to look at this company since we where given this insurance company through bundling our home insurance with our car insurance.
