We have been Farm Bureau customers for years with our homeowners ********************** on a double wide mobile home. Today (July 3, 2024) I received a call from our agent saying that they were canceling my homeowners policy due to the age of my house. It was constructed in 2002. 22 years old. I said thank you for putting the screws to us. He was quick to respond that there is a way around this. They could still insure our home IF we signed up with them to cover our automobiles. Sounds like extortion to me. I found out what was needed to get a quote on vehicle insurance and told him I would email the information to him. In the meantime we contacted another insurance company that we deal with on a golf cart we have and they insuranced our home within minutes. Paid them and then called Farm Bureau and cancelled with them. Also saved us money going different way.

On **** 11,2024 I was parked in a parking Spot (Meaning not moving at ALL I was PARKED) and was rear Ended by someone who is insured with NCFB. We exchanged Info and I reached out to NCFB right away. I was given a claim Number and a claim agent by the name of *************************. Now I've been calling Every day Since Then, I also have left plenty of messages and no Returned call. The Last time I called I was told by her Assistant "that she doesn't Need me calling Every day and she CAN'T MAKE HER CALL ME". So, I asked "is there any way I can have another claim agent Since **************** seems to Busy?" I was told NO I'm stuck with what was given. So today is **** 27,2024 and I'm riding around with my Car messed up and STILL NO CALL BACK FROM ****************. This is so unacceptable; I can see Why their Score is 1.25.

We regret the difficult experience our claimant has had her with claim with us. Unfortunately the 2 drivers involved provided conflicting accounts of the of the accident. With respect to the lack of communication, the problem was with the phone number we had as the only contact information. Since that time we were able to correspond with the claimant via email and are in the process of investigating the accident.

I have been using NC Farm Bureau for years and a loyal customer. We insure our house and 3 automobiles with NCFB. Yesterday, my son needed a tow back to the house. I went online to try to file a claim and the website couldnt locate my policy. I then called the roadside assistance group and spoke with ******. ****** and I spent 45 minutes on the phone, while she was trying to locate my policy. She couldnt find my policy. Gave her my policy # and the last 8 digits of the *** # of 2 of my vehicles, per her request. ****** was less than accommodating, seemed as if she didnt care to take some extra steps. At one point ****** asked if we even had roadside assistance. Ummm, yes. We spend $743/month just on car insurance. I went to make my statement to share with her that on 6/18, Farm Bureau had deducted $743 from our account, so yes we have coverage. Again, she still could NOT even locate my policy. She then proceeds to tell me I could file a claim and pay for the tow out of pocket. *****************, thats not going to happen. I then asked for a supervisor. She then comes back on the phone to tell me shes trying to get a supervisor on the phone. To no avail, no supervisor. ****** then asks me, who was I trying to call. Huh? I said, Farm Bureau. Are you not with Farm Bureau? Her reponse was, well we are. But we arent. Huh?? Total trainwreck of a call and zero help. She also told me I could call the office during normal business hours. Its Saturday afternoon. Im not leaving this car from Saturday afternoon until Monday AM. Horrible. At this point I told her I was done. A relative has AAA, so we called and got the tow scheduled for later in the day. Got a phone call back from *************************** later asking if I still needed roadside service. I said yes, but Im not paying out of pocket because I have coverage. She then promptly hangs up on me. Im done with NC Farm Bureau. Ill be calling around Monday AM for a new provider. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

First of all we apologize for the situation and appreciate your business. Our agent contacted Mr. **** and they discussed the situation. Mr. ****-notified us that he called Farm Bureau Road Side Assistance. He got the number via ******* We asked him if he could provide me the number he called and he said he could not. But he did provide a number that called him back ************** Tennessee Area code. We explained to him that North Carolina Farm Bureau does not have road side assistance and must have gotten an out of State Farm Bureau that has no affiliation with our company. We feel that Mr. **** was not using the correct North Carolina Farm Bureau Web site. Our agent provided him with all the correct contact numbers including his personal cell number and the correct website for any future needs. Mr. **** is welcome to submit the towing bill for reimbursement up to the limit for the coverage provided in the policy. Again we are very sorry for his frustration and we have provided contact information for any future needs.

This company has been nothing but a major headache for us and we wouldnt recommend them to anyone. I started this policy to get off of my parents and at first they were great. Super nice and helpful but after my policy was set, if I called would be sent to voicemail and never called back. When I tried to add my husband to the policy, I called 3 separate times to talk to my agent and the 1 time he called back, he said he would work on it but then never got back to me. Now my husband and I started the process to switch insurance companies and it took nearly a month just to get someone on the phone. We left voicemail after voicemail and never got a single call or email back. When we did get them on the phone, they were very short and rude and acted like we were an inconvenience for calling. The person said she will submit the cancellation for us and there was nothing else needed after signing the form. We asked if there was anything additional and she told us we just had to pay that months premium and that will be it. I asked if there would be any cancellation fees and she told us no. We called because we got an email about an upcoming bill for the next month and she told us to ignore this and it will go away when the cancellation is processed. We then asked to make sure it was actually going to cancel and there was nothing else needed. She said no. Well 4 phone calls later and a bunch of frustration, our policy was cancelled. We were told each time we called about this that there were no additional fees and to ignore any billing statements. Well we got one today so we called and the lady couldnt help so we then called the billing department and they said it is a cancellation fee. Well after 25 minutes of explaining to this person what we were told and everything they put us through with this, she said we just had to pay it. This company needs to really fix itself and train its employees or shut down.

First of all we appreciate ******* business and apologize for the frustrating situation she has experienced. Our local District Manager reached out to ****** and had a detailed conversation about the situation. He apologized and got more details as to what occurred and who was involved. Since then he has visited that local office and addressed the situation with all the parties involved so we can learn from the experience and provide more thorough service in the future. We have waived the cancellation fee to a pro-rated cancellation as well.

On April 25, 2024, in ***********, my wife was in an accident with a driver who had Farm Bureau insurance. the other party liable for the accident, (NOT OUR FAULT) On May 14, 2024, *********************** of ******* was the Farm Bureau's adjuster at first. This was after numerous phone calls and emails were made. Finally, he said, "This is not the adjuster; *************************** is our current adjuster; please get in touch with him." We've been trying to reach *************************** for a week, but despite our numerous calls and emails, they continue to ignore us. As of May 27, 2024, neither the Farm Bureau representative nor the adjusters have returned our calls or emails, and our car has still not been fixed.

My agent initiated a call to me with great news regarding lowering my auto insurance. I was told it would be lower if I bundled the auto with my homeowner's insurance. However, it was much more than the current auto policy I had! I expressed my concern several times with my agent but have not been fully reimbursed for the total amount of the policy. In summary, the agent contacted ME first, gave erroneous information regarding the savings I was to expect on the policy. I discovered it AFTER cancelling my old auto insurance policy and now they won't fully reimburse me. They've given me some, but not ALL of my money.

We appreciate the opportunity to provide a response to these concerns. We reached out to the Agent of record in her servicing office. We apologize for any confusion but after quoting her a new auto policy, our customer came into the local office and the agent wrote the new policy. The client was adamant that an accident she was involved in on 9/14/22 was not her fault so 3 points was not charged on the initial application. The underwriting department determined that it was her fault and charged 3 points which raised the rate over what she was paying. Due to the circumstance we have agreed to go back and amend the refund to a pro-rata basis. Sincerely,NORTH CAROLINA FARM BUREAU MUTUAL INSURANCE **

Avoid this company at all costs! They'll disappear when you seek explanations. I *********** insurance from them on 12/15/2023 for $913, paying everything upfront, and their prices beat any competitor. However, three months later, I received a bill demanding an additional $322 (a 35% increase). When I contacted their office for clarification, they couldn't provide any and said they'd get back to me after consulting their call center. A week of silence followed. Calling again, I was told my agent would contact me, but I requested information via text instead. The next morning, I received a text attributing the extra charge to an 'inexperienced operator,' claiming my wife had her license for less than three yearsfalse, as she's been licensed for 15 years. If they meant me, I obtained my license exactly three years ago, on 12/15/2020. My texts are ignored, calls to the office go unanswered, and promises of callbacks are unfulfilled

We appreciate the Kontas business and the opportunity to provide a response to their concerns. We reached out to the Agent of record and the Agency Manager in your servicing office. They apologize for any confusion and for not being able to connect with you. The agent says she has attempted to reach out to you a few times and did leave a message for a return call in the last couple of days. Please contact their office and request to speak to the agent, manager or the agent of the day. Also any of the staff in that local are more than willing to assist you in any way. The office number is ************. Again, we are very sorry for the issues you are having and they look forward to speaking to you soon.

Forget calling ******* office, absolutely no help, just the runaround. Plus. they tell me they only have 6 month policies and raises the premium every 6 months. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM FARM BUREAU

We sincerely apologize for the delayed processing on the policy cancellations. The homeowners policy cancellation was processed on March 15, and the auto policy on March 19. We will examine the circumstances that led to the delay and continue to review ways to provide better service to our clients.

Nice until you need the insurance. Driving down the interstate after work in the flow of traffic and apparently someone up ahead had some things fall off as people were running over some debris in the road. I hit it and shortly after my tire blew out and another one had lost air pressure. I call to make a claim and when the adjuster calls ** quickly told Im at fault for not swerving to miss it so therefore my deductible is not waived and its possible for an increase in my rates. Like WTF? Im driving doing 60 mph and you straight up say Im at fault bc I did not swerve? This isnt a go kart track its a ************ just a shame to hear the way things are contorted to make me the culprit instead of a victim of an unavoidable event. Like hows the story play out if I swerve and crash or swerve and hit another car? Assuming you even see the debris to take action. *** never made a claim and have given this company probably over 15000$ in insurance cost since I got stationed here. Just your typical money hungry insurance company sticking it to the citizen:-( I will say they have been very nice verbally though until I need it. I would also like to bring up after reading another review, I was under the impression I had an auto renewal on our home/auto so after the 1st year is up Im deployed overseas and when I get back we are receiving a fines for not having insurance and Im like what the heck. Apparently I was told they are not allowed to tell you when your insurance lapses/ expires for legal reasons so they just let ours expire with no notice via mail, phone, email. And then charged us more money.

Upon receipt of this review, our claims **** reached out and was advised our client did not want to answer any questions and that he wished to withdraw the claim. As to the renewal, renewal information was mailed several weeks in advance of renewal date. After payment was not received an additional notice was mailed providing a 2 week grace ******* When payment ultimately was not received, the policy expired.
