A check with the North Carolina Secretary of State, Corporate Division shows no listing for Whittlemore Logistics Services.
Also a check with the Wake County Register of Deeds office shows no listing. NC General Statute § 66-68 requires that "before any person or partnership engages in business in any county in this State under an assumed name or under any designation, name or style other than the real name of the owner or owners thereof, before any limited partnership engaged in business in any county in this State other than under the name set out in the Certificate filed with the Office of the Secretary of State or before a corporation engages in business in any county other than under its corporate name, such person, partnership, limited partnership, or corporation must file in the office of the register of deeds of such county".
On April 01,2023, BBB initiated an investigation on the business after we received consumer reports through BBB Scam Tracker. The reports claim that the company is offering consumers jobs on a paid trial basis. The consumer is asked to fill out a contract which is followed up by a phone call from the business requesting banking information.
BBB contacted the company on 4/06/2023 and 4/25/202 and requested clarification of their business practices, but never received a response.
