On October 14, 2023, I visited the business to rent costumes for Halloween. They had me pay the fee, leave my credit card details, and took a copy of my ID.They took down my credit card details on a piece of paper with my ID on the reverse (with full address). This piece of paper was left on the counter with a receipt and all my details attached (simply on a clipboard).That same week, my credit card details (the card which I shared, which I hadn't used for anything recent), were used to attempt to purchase items online (*****'s Choice, *********, Farfetch). I posit that the card details are being kept unsafe, and that a member of staff is taking the details to purchase items online.I have had to freeze my credit,Business response

I am the new owner of The Tilted Stage **************, ********************************. If the data breach did occur at my business I would like to formally apologize to the complaintant and let them know we have a new POS system where all data is stored on a secure server, no more paper records, all paper copies have been shredded and disposed of properly as per the original owners standards. We now use Clover in conjunction with Invoiss as the secure data storage. Any credit card information stored is not visible to anyone after the completion to anyone after the completion the transaction.Customer response
