Do not buy from this dealer. Heres why: I was reviewing a motorcycle web page (cycletrader.com) one night, June 11, 2024, and wanted to see more information about the 2014 *** R1200RT, so I went to the dealers website (garciamoto.com) to see the dealers information about the sale. The bike looked good, on consignment, and the purchase was advertised as including a 2 yr warranty. The bike was listed at $9999 but I asked the salesperson if the owner would take $9500. He came back later that day and said the owner would take that price. I put down $500 to secure the bike and get the paperwork started. During the next few days we talked and exchanged text messages and when I asked to explain the warranty, he told me it would cost me $1195. I immediately rejected that and said it was advertised as having a 2 yr warranty. He went and spoke with someone and they told him the same thing, there was no warranty and if I wanted one I would have to purchase it. I sent him a copy of the advertisement that was STILL ON THEIR WEBSITE AT THE **** WE WERE SPEAKING and he said there was nothing he could do. I proceeded with the sale because I wanted the bike and told him I would speak with the owner about it. We wrapped up the sale and I had the bike shipped to my house as I live in ******* and the bike was in **************. After a few days I sent an email with a copy of the letter I wrote to him because my letter hadnt reached him by **** mail. Mr. ********************* through the salesperson ****, responded I had 3 options: 1) now pay $500 for the warranty; 2) return the bike for a full refund; or 3) show documentation with warranty at $9500. All of these options are absurd given the bike was advertised WITH A WARRANTY AT PURCHASE! How does a warranty just fall off? Their response was it should have been removed by the website IT person when the bikes price was originally reduced. I am filing complaints and writing unfavorable reviews wherever I can write them.
