***** **** did not add oil to engine after oil change. I caught it after approx 5 miles of driving. Had ***** **** tow car to Leith Toyota to inspect engine since driving w/o oil for only a few miles can seriously damage engines. ***** **** assistant manager drove to ****** * parking lot after I discovered no oil and filled engine up. At Leith, I requested a borescope of engine to inspect damage as well as check on metal in oil to determine damage. I requested pictures of the oil (in text thread with Toyota service person). Instead, Leith offered to take apart the engine and inspect at a cost of 5k to myself. Thanks. They did change the oil. And didn't document what came out as requested in text. So you can understand that when I went to pick my car up I was not happy. And I was not pleasant. Service Advisor turned me over to manager (lady- didn't catch her name) who in a condescending attitude that there is always metal in oil. The oil that came out of the engine would have been the absolute easiest way to analyze damage. The fact they just dumped it is insulting. The manager defused the situation by threatening to call the cops on me. Great solution. This service was absolutely unacceptable. Leith did not listen to my concerns. Leith did not do as I asked. Do not take your car here.

Below is the initial concern when Mr. *** brought his vehicle into our facility: Customer took vehicle to ***** **** for an oil change & they forgot to fill back up with oil and customer drove the vehicle over 5 miles. Customer is requesting to find what kind of damage has been done to the engine ***** **** met the customer at a gas station to put oil in requesting to run a bore scope or visually inspect. Our Master Diagnostic Technician with over 18 years experience with our company performed the vehicle inspection including sending Mr. *** a 4 minute comprehensive video via text detailing of his findings and recommendations. Below were his final notes on the repair invoice Mr. *** received upon picking up his vehicle: ENGINE RUNNING AS DESIGNED AT THIS TIME PERFORMED HEALTH CHECK AND FOUND NO CODES RELATED TO ENGINE PERFORMANCE. RAN VEHICLE IN INSPECTION MODE SO THAT ENGINE WOULD STAY RUNNING FOR 10 MINUTES AND NO ABNORMAL NOISES WERE HEARD. INSPECTED FOR METAL IN OIL WHEN PERFORMING OIL CHANGE AND FOUND NO TRACES OF METAL IN DRAINED OIL.
