I paid half of my deposit on 10/27/22 but job not started until 5/10/23, stating materials unavailable as the reason for delay. No project manager on site daily to monitor the progress. For days at a time no one showed up, and my roof was not tarped correctly even though lots of rain.Mid June, they finished and I contacted project manager immediately to voice concerns on items that needed ************** was unsatisfied with the appearance. He said there was nothing they could do about the appearance but made a list of unfinished items. He said it was his last day on the job but would pass list on to someone else to have items fixed. No one came to fix it. And when I called the company no one answered. One of the workers contacted me to sell me gutter guards, and informed me that the company went bankrupt and closed. The job was incomplete, pallets of heavy materials were left in my driveway,& gutters clogged with debris. I paid to have materials removed. In Sept my roof leaked, water poured onto the floor. The company that fixed it showed me the errors made by covenant roofing which caused the leak, many which were basic errors likely done from inexperienced workers with no supervision. Everything covenant did needs to be redone and I have water damage to fix. And also pay for legal counsel as I got a bill for the other half of the money. I should not have to pay for a job that was incompletely done (& incorrectly), and I lost any warranty to the work because the company closed. Just because a company files bankruptcy, they should not lose accountability.I am going into debt over this, and I could possibly lose my home because Im not sure if I can afford damages and legal fees. Please protect the consumer and hold someone accountable for this negligence.
