      On June 29, 2021,**************** of Magasin Cabinets came to our home to measure for new kitchen cabinets. On July 17, 2021, my husband and I purchased $5,425.52 worth of cabinets from Magasin Cabinets. ****** was to provide delivery and installation of the purchased cabinets. ****** barely provided delivery of the cabinets and could not provide installation. We dropped his installation after his many excuses and hired another place to install the cabinets. It was discovered the measuring of the cabinets was incorrect and they were too big. By this time we had had enough and returned the cabinets within the return policy time frame. ****** of Magasin Cabinets has refused to give us a return because his feelings are hurt. He simply did not complete the job and is leaving us to pay for too big, poor quality, warped and aesthetically unpleasing cabinets. He even has the handles and pulls that we purchased on our own for our cabinets.

      Consumer Response /* (3000, 16, 2021/09/30) */ We have had to seek out legal counsel regarding this matter. Based on the response given from Magasin Cabinets, there is a lack of honesty displayed. The worst type of business is a business that provides work, knows that the work provided was not up to par and refuses to give money back to the customer when they paid them in full and returned the item within the return policy. As far as us rushing Magasin Cabinets, we worked on timelines that ****** Reynolds gave us, the customers, and timelines that he failed to deliver on each time. ****** of Magasin also stated, "I appreciate your business but I have a lot of sh*t going on" in a phone call Thursday, September 2, 2021 the day in which he was to have his errors corrected. He gave an excuse that someone broke into his home but later admitted that he didn't want to deal with the issues that he created in incorrectly measuring the cabinets from the beginning. If he felt he was rushed or that he wasn't giving his best effort he could have conveyed that to the customers instead of sending numerous personal text messages as if they were friends and not in a business relationship. As stated earlier we are seeking this out LEGALLY. Business Response /* (4000, 18, 2021/10/06) */ The complaint should not be about personal grievance or vindictiveness, it is whether a refund is to be given for returned cabinets that are damaged by the consumer. As we have stated before based on the substantial damages done to the cabinets by the consumer with all the screw holes and various size cutouts; we are unable to refund the purchase price of the cabinets to the customer. The returned damaged cabinets from the customer cannot be resold and therefore is of no use to us. The customer is welcome to pick up the cabinets. Continued housing of the cabinets will accrue storage charges. Photos of the damaged cabinets are enclosed. Our Return/Refund policy states: Refund is given within seven (7) days from the date of purchase on product that is received faulty or damaged FROM Magasin Cabinets. Be sure to examine products before leaving the store. Return is accepted within seven (7) days from date of purchase on products that are the wrong size or wrong color FROM ordered items. Be sure to examine products before leaving the store for the right color and size.
