Angel ********** is selling inbred boxer puppies for $1500 with DNA defects and improperly docking tails/dew claws/vaccinations at home. The puppies never saw a vet as I confirmed with Angel’s regular vet on the phone. My friend and I are victims of this “backyard breeder.” She poses as a 30 year boxer breeder with guaranteed health checks on the AKC marketplace. This woman needs to be stopped

      I received a letter documenting a complaint from ******* ******.

She accuses Angels Boxer Babies of selling inbred boxer puppies None of our adult dogs are related as far back as 5-6 generations, which is what is sent to us by the AKC documents. No puppies from any litter are ever kept so there can be no accidental inbreeding as well. She had done an Embark testing on the puppy which looks at hundreds and hundreds of generations and includes breeders who have line-bred to continue certain traits. This however does NOT mean that we are inbreeding.

We do have a one year health guarantee as stated in my advertising. It states that if the puppy should pass from a genetic defect that we replace the puppy from another litter.

When the buyer came to pick up the puppy she never indicated that she was displeased in any way with the puppy. At that time she did not say anything about the length of the tail or about being displeased with it. Im contrary she commented repeatedly on what a wonderful, beautiful girl she was. We have always taken new puppies to the vet for vaccinations and checks, however at the time this particular litter was born the vets office was overwhelmed with canine flu and kennel cough. We felt it was in the best interest of the puppies to receive shots and wormed at home. It is up to each breeder as to whether they have tails and dew claws done by a vet or not. We normally have a vet do them as well but at that time did not want to risk the health of the puppies by taking them in and risking exposure.

After being notified by the buyer that her vet would not accept the shot records because a vet had not prepared them I refunded her $284.79 which covered the cost of new shots and the visit as well as other cost that we are not responsible for. Hoping that this would satisfy the buyer. She then stated that she was displeased with the tail length and dew claws had returned. We then refunded her an additional $572.27. The refunds came from estimates or bills provided by her veterinary clinic.

All buys are required to sign a contract before taking the puppy from our home. It states that we are not responsible for vet bills. We however did refund her the amounts she requested hoping to satisfy her. We will be glad to send a copy of the contracts that she signed if necessary. I would also recommend going onto my AKC site where you will be able to see the actual advertisement. Out of two litters that were born during the period in question this buyer is the only lady that remains unsatisfied. At this time, I do not believe that there is a way to satisfy this customer.
