I contacted this organization today to inquire about adoption. Because I hadnt adopted in many years, I asked about the fee. I stated that this was for my daughter. The respondent (director?) stated she was worried that my daughter couldnt afford a dog. Admittedly, that bothered me because I had my reasons for questioning paying $300 for any dog. I asked her not to judge my reasons for inquiring or being hesitant. This person was extremely rude as you can see from the comments below. This was most definitely NOT a positive experience. Unbelievable that you would take that like I am judging you. I was only asking you to consider what it costs. But obviously you must already have a little bit of a problem with people trying to explain things to you.Me: dont have a problem with hearing explanations. And mam - I appreciate that you do this for animals. I reacted when you suggested she couldnt afford the dog - in your text. There are a lot of reasons why someone needs to think about paying for a dog. That being said, have a nice day.Just move on. I don't want to ever hear from you again.I would post the snapshot if I could. Im not sure I would recommend this shelter because of this person, which is a shame for the animals there.
