Our HomeVestors points-of-contact were **** ***** and his assistant ***. Soon after we spoke on the phone, **** visited us and we discussed our plans and expectations. At this first meeting, **** made us a very fair offer to which we agreed. The offer also included an acceptable closing date which gave us time to prepare for the move and sale. Shortly thereafter, we concluded a sales contract. For us, going forward with the process was simple and stress-free because the house was "sold".
We spent the next four months getting ready for the move. Getting organized for a move after living in the same house for 33 years turned out to be an interesting effort. Not being stressed by either a timetable for the move or activities for updating the house for sale really helped us remain focused on the organization effort. Also helping our focus was the fact that **** maintained contact with us.
We moved out of the North Carolina house early August. Since we were out of the house and HomeVestors had preparation activities to complete, HomeVestors took over the utility bill responsibility. This was a big deal to us and again demonstrated the HomeVestors fairness. The house closed with a new owner about one week prior to the contract closing date. For us, the closing process was also simple and stress-free.
After all is said and done, working with HomeVestors and **** was the best decision we made for our home sale and move. We would work with them again and I will highly recommend homeowners to contact HomeVestors early on in the home sale/moving process. Their professionalism, fairness, and trustworthiness are never in doubt.
