July 21, 2022 I entered into a contract for a Garage Conversion after *** from Sanford Home Solution did an inhouse estimate with me and it sounded good. I was told it would take approximately 6 - 8 weeks and it took approximately 7 months do to the lack on the contractor's part. Also items we discussed did not take place so the price should have been $2000 to $3000 less in my opinion. He also did not listen to my concerns and worked when they felt like working. I have a log of over **************************************************************************************** totality the spent only ***** hours on this project in 7 months, Sanford Homes sent Final bill with a discount of $589.89 which is small since the ceiling and touch up paint on walls cost $650 to get fixed and 1/2 if not all should be covered by contractor, plus all of the items I had to purchase to get things cleaned and corrected (paint, items to get stickers off doors and glass, caulk for wholes left, scraper to get spackle and paint off cabinets and other places, repaint area, fixed floors that started peeling weeks after, etc.). Plus the extra work and time I had to do (I spent about ***** hrs. cleaning up and doing what should have been done). I let him know my complaint and issues, but he showed no concern. I also let him know that I need a completed signed off permit. *** stated he would scan and send permit completed to me. On 2/27/2023 I paid the Final bill, but let him know that I feel he owes me at least $1500-$3000 more to fix the flooring that should not be peeling id done correctly and as discussed, and for all the work and items I had to purchase and do myself. I have pictures of the way house was left on last day and I had to fix myself. I will try and PDF spreadsheet and attach to this complain as well.
