The team came to my home end of May/early June due to my system going out. The gentleman came out, did not look at the zone boardshe just looked at the outside unit and tested the air flow and says it fine. He said its hard to do anything because its working and to put in a call back if it goes out again. It goes out again, I wait 4-5 days for them to come. I explained my thermostat read 93, and they didnt seem bothered. Once I told them Im filing a complaint they got me in (still within 3-4 days). The guy comes out, replaces parts, and the system goes back out. I called and did a call back. ******* took my call and said she can get me in Tuesday which is 5 days away. I told her thats unfair as I been pretty patient. I asked to speak to a manager and she said hes not in but you can leave a voicemail. I have children and a mother and this is very unreasonable on their end.Review from Ikelia V

They were dispatched by our warranty company for A/C repair in June 2023. This was a two man job. One of the techs spilled some purple substance on my carpet which is now stained. After numerous times of calling to report this and following up the company finally placed a request to have someone from a cleaning company their affilated with to clean our carpet in August 2023. That tech tried but wasn't successful because he claim he was told it was a fresh spill. Since it was an old spill now stained there was nothing more he could do. He let us know our carpet will have to be replaced. Again, followed up with the company for an update. This time a manager came out to inspect in October 2023 and tried removing the stain no avail. He said he will see what else he can do and give us a call. I have since followed up left messages numerous times and no response. It is December 2023 and still nothing accomplished. Very poor customer service.Review from Kathryn F

Do not use this company! We have been dealing with this company for MONTHS thru American Home Shield. Not only have they been unable to fix our mini-split (even after multiple parts orders, including ordering the wrong part), they NEVER return our calls, and their tech never actually went to our home (confirmed by camera) even though they claim to have gone.Review from Tancred M

Comfort First Heating and Cooling was assigned by ******** **** ****** to do an annual maintenance check on my unit. They came out on 9/28/2022 and said everything was perfect, no leaks, pressure was good, nothing needed to be done. The very next day my wife and I noticed that the AC was struggling, and within 48 hours after our service our unit was iced up and showing signs of a leak that was not there before they came out. So the ports they plugged in to just happened to start leaking right after they left? Called Comfort First and of course they said it's not their fault but they'd be happy to come out and look at it again for another $100 appointment fee. Totally lacking in integrity and customer service. Do not recommend!!!Review from Tim M

Do I have to leave ANY stars? This company is ****** ** in every direction and six ways to Sunday. Avoid at any cost. You will definitely spend 15 minutes minimum on hold. The. tech emails, that's right emails, not texts you when they are on their way. They call upon arrival. The number they leave if you miss them, gets you the corporate switchboard. Don't be taking a dump. If you miss them, there is no way to email, call, or text the tech directly to let them know you're a minute away. You're screwed and have to reschedule. When your house is 90 degrees, that's a bad option. Apparently they had enough time blocked off to do a 6 hour repair, but not more than 15 minutes to wait. Even though the job was completely outside, and they could have completed it without talking to me at all. Why not just start working, and keep trying to contact me, because * ***! That's why. When you finally get a hold of someone, it won't be anyone that can help. But they'll be glad to put you on hold again. And again. So that someone can explain to you that it's just their policy and you're back at square one. Most abysmal level of customer service I've experienced in a long time.Review from Rosalinda C

Was sold a spring tuneup in the winter for a price I couldn't pass up. Had my unit serviced on Monday. Tech troll me there were 3 issues needing repair. I asked that it be written down so I could review at a later time. He returned and now there's only 1 repair that needs to be done. Tries to sell me on a maintenance package. Again I ask for written details so I can review at a later date and get nothing. I couldn't even get details on what was included in the tuneup. Needless to say. My unit suspiciously stopped working immediately after he left. I called another HVAC company and they said I was the 3 person this week that called after being serviced by them. This morning it was determined that the wires had been switched making the fan inoperable. No resolution is needed. I simply want this documented as I suspect this is a trend with them.Review from Barbara S

Worst Experience ever with an HVAC Company. Comfort First Heating and Cooling came out on 5/20/21 and said the Damper needed to be replaced. It cost $400 and they replaced it. I came home the next day to it still not working. I had to call someone out as it was a Friday. Apparently the technician hit the damper and that was why it was not working. We had to cancel our plans. Now it is Feb 2022 with the same problem and the dapper has a 2 year warranty on it. A technician comes out and allegedly fixes it. The next day same problem and freezing downstairs. I called them back, furious and spoke to **** ****** . I explained that this is unacceptable and it caused me to have to cancel plans in May and now it still does not work. I told **** that we were inconvenienced and he had the nerve to tell me they were inconvenienced too since they had to dispatch another Tech out. Are you kidding me! He was disrespectful and kept cutting me off. Now I talk to ***** ******. ***** said he is going to do me a BIG favor and replace the damper and also a total cleaning for "Free". I am thinking it has taken 5 times to fix a damper that is still not working. I told him that they could do the Free Cleaning if he signed a notarized contract and if it was screwed up they would replace the entire unit for free. ***** refused to do that. I guess not a lot of faith either. Now they find $2000 of repairs that need done. They agreed to do it at no cost. On Friday 2 Techs come out with the wrong part and have to leave and go get the right part! So Sat. night 2/5/22 still not working, we came home to a cold house. Called the After Hours service. I got a call back TODAY Monday 2/7/22.I asked that that the owners call me, so *** ****** calls me and says that he can get someone out there at 3:00. I don't want them out here ever. I am now going with **** ******* with a 5 Star Rating with 8451 Reviews. They couldn't believe what had happened and know they can fix it on Wed!Comfort First Heating & Cooling, Inc Response

Ms. *****, we are truly sorry to hear you are not satisfied with our team. Our goal is to achieve exceptional customer service with each and every repair visit, and unfortunately mistakes were made in this case. As we have reviewed with you, our technician replaced your zone damper in May 2021, and he believes he must have bumped the damper motor as he was crawling back from behind the equipment. This part is a piece of your ductwork, not your furnace. We returned as quickly as possible, outside of our normal operating hours, to remedy the situation. We took responsibility for the mistake and reported it to your home warranty company. Now recently, in late January 2022, we returned to find the zone duct system still having issues; the technician diagnosed the zone control board, which powers the zone damper motors, had failed, and should be replaced along with the two zone damper motors it likely damaged when the control board fried. The zone control board is not a part we previously replaced. You pugnaciously expressed that you will not pay for any future repairs on your HVAC equipment, even if unrelated to the zone ductwork, declined reasonable discourse while slandering our team members, threatened to deteriorate our reputation through bad reviews if we didn't agree, citing our technician inconveniencing you in May 2021 as your reasoning. Still attempting to rectify the situation, we offered a free cleaning with your free zone board and free zone dampers replacement, which you then demanded we agree to replace the entire system, for free, if there are equipment failures in the future. We did not install your HVAC system, so unfortunately that is not something we can agree to. You received a call back on Monday because our office is closed on the weekend, so we returned your call when we received your voicemail. We understand waiting for a return call was frustrating, we accept responsibility for our technician making a mistake when replacing the zone damper motor and we acknowledge we received the incorrect control board from the parts distributor when we returned for your free repair. We also recognize, with a recorded phone system, that our team strived to resolve these issues in a professional manner. Each time you reached out to us we scheduled you for our soonest availability, offered free services and gave free repairs. In reference to the incorrect part being brought to your home, fortunately, the correct board was locally in stock, and we were able to obtain it and install it within about an hour of realizing the incorrect part was given to us. We sincerely apologize for all inconveniences you endured, and we hope you can find an HVAC company who can fulfill all of your needs.Customer Response

Hello,
I am not sure how your "Free Parts" benefited me after numerous visits by your technicians and then still no heat. It is like buying someone a $2,000 designer suit that is 3 sizes too small. It is a nice Gesture but pretty much worthless. Therefore I am not following your logic. I gave your Company I am sure over six times coming out to make it right since May 20, 2021. It was clear that this was above your skill level. I just wish that Comfort First Heating and Cooling would have been upfront with me from the beginning and not have wasted so much of my time and energy and still being COLD. I just got my HVAC serviced today by an amazing company that has a 5 STAR RATING "************", not a 1 out of 5 stars on the Better Business Bureau. He was here for maybe a half hour and was great. He found a low capacitor and replaced it with a new one. The Flame Sensor was corroded and reading 0 (Zero) Micro AMP. After Cleaning the Flame Sensor it read 1.9 Micro Amp. He checked the gas pressure and adjusted it per manufacturer Spec. He also tested the damper motors. It was not "Free" but it works! I am so happy! It only cost me $65 from my Home Warranty company "***************" and loved the fact that it took less than a half hour out of my day. And the technician actually had everything in his truck. I would definitely use "************" again and refer them to all my friends. I will pay $65 any day then have it for "Free" to actually have heat and my HVAC repaired and on the FIRST Trip! Now that is GOOD Business.

They came out and destroyed my AC unit and I have been stressed and in the heat for several weeks. My home warranty company is letting this happen (*********************)
