bought a 2021 ******* tuscon was promised by the sales rep that is no longer with the dealership and the people around her that they would fix the fender if i bought the car. been calling since june they keep telling me that they will call me back they never do. just a tactic to get me to buy the car. don't think they ever had any intentions of fixing it. for the money i paid for the car you would think they would have taken care of it by now. i wish i would have read all the reviews before i went to this dealership. they will promise you anything to get you to sign on the dotted line i suggest if your looking for an automobile that you look elsewhere, because my next purchase will not be from this place.Review from Katie B

Bought a used 2017 ***** Cruze from them on 10/19/22. One week later, the check engine light came on. Took it back to them and they pulled the codes, then wanted to keep it for a week because their mechanic that "specialized" in used cars didn't work on the weekend. When I told them no, I need the car for work, they changed their tune and said the codes were "dealer specific" and to take it to Chevrolet. When I tried to schedule an appointment with Chevrolet in Shelby, the service manager refused to look at the car because I had a warranty through Nissan of Shelby due to a recent bad experience with another customer who had also purchased a vehicle from Nissan of Shelby. After some back and forth, Nissan was able to get the service manager to agree to look at the car, but one week and $510 (out of pocket, mind you because the warranty isn't worth the paper it's printed on), the check engine light came on again. The O2 sensor was bad and I had it replaced. Then the *** needed to be updated. Now the light is off, but the car won't go down the street. It stalls while idling and driving. I have had it to three different shops, including *****. No one can figure out what's wrong and since the check engine light is off, won't troubleshoot it. Whether or not this car had a salvage title, there is clearly something wrong with it that is costly and now I'm paying for a car to just sit in the driveway. A car that I bought when I had no credit and was desperate because I needed one for work. Nissan of Shelby took advantage of me and I am so glad the previous management team is getting charged for their shady dealings, especially ***** and ********. I never had the (dis) pleasure of meeting the previous general manager, but from what I have read, he sounds like a real piece of work and that's putting it politely. I know none of them will likely see jail time, but I sure hope none of them will ever have the chance to work at another car dealership again.Review from Sharisse J

Screwed from the moment we arrived on that lot. First tried to sell ** a car that was in a flood and told ** getting insurance would be easy. Then to find out it is very expensive and the rates are very high for those vehicles. Then they called ** back in when we were off the lot and said they would give ** a good deal. After hours we finally left there just defeated and purchased vehicle (which I know is my fault). Vehicle came with 1 key fob, no vehicle manual and no mats. Finally got everything except key fob. Key fob continued to give ** problems. It deactivated 1 yr later and we had to have a lock ***** come and buy a new one and reprogram it which was around $350. I had been asking about this issue the entire time via our sales person, poor ***** he has tried. I purchased a second fir back up and have asked the dealership to program it for free. Then ******* calls today and tells me since we have not been there for this issue they are denying me the request. Well the car could not start without the key fob so how was I to get it there. I have made the complaint to the sales person but was told we could not get a new key fob so why would I go up there . The dealership is 1 hour away from our home. It took the locksmith 15 minutes to reprogram the new key fob if that but apparently that is too much to ask after spending $$$ on a vehicle.Review from Jessica M

Worst decision I ever made to buy a car here. The customer service is trash the service department ***** the overall experience is ghetto. My car didnt have a spare kit or wheel key to unlock my tires. The air conditioning went out the first month of the purchase. Do not purchase here. You will regret it.Review from Destiny H

Purchased a 2020 Nissan Kicks on 1/28/23, while the sales man and finance guy had great personalities everything else has been a nightmare. Ive made 4 (40 minute each way) trips to the dealership to sign paperwork just to sit in a limbo and not have any completed contract. I chose 0 down got calls I owed a down payment. Was told the down payment was taken care of and then told I still owed. I spoke to ******* today (2/20/23) after trying to reach someone for 3 days over this whole mess just to be told that if I didnt want to work with them to return the car by end of business day and they would easily sell it to someone who needed it more or was more willing to work with them. There was no attempt to rectify the situation and i was greeted with nothing but attitude and poor demeanor. Ill be returning the car today and taking my business elsewhere, no dealership or car is worth this much hassle.Review from Natalie P

We purchased a car through Nissan of Shelby about 3 weeks ago. We got sold a flood title, which we were told was not the salvage. When we tried to trade the car in on a car I originally wanted, they told us that *********** (who we went with for our lender) wouldnt finance a branded title. So now we are having to return the car and deal with all of this paperwork, all because the dealership did not inform us that our lender wouldnt finance this vehicle. They tried to sneak it by. Our insurance or the lender had no clue it was a salvage title. We will not be going back to them ever again.Review from AG

We were sold a lemon by nissan of shelby. We purchased this car on November 18,2022 and they have had the car since that day. Nissan of Shelby told us it was a sensor, it took them a week to order and a few more days to put it in. Only to find out that it was the transmission and it had to be replaced, which took another 7 days. We have not been contacted by anyone regarding this car we have had to call every time. Once we got a date and a time to pick it up, My husband went to pick the car and now the car has mysteriously got a broke gas tank. A reminder, we havent had this car in our possession for more than 2 hours, never put gas in it. At this point we just wanted a solution, which brings in the ** of the store ***. This man promised that he would do everything in his power to make it right. Was going to pay the car off and have a newer car brought to the store that monday, which was 3 days. Monday came and nothing, Wednesday and still nothing. Which brings me to today December 15, my husband went in to figure something out and this is when the Gm comes out with the worst attitude you could every expect from a MANAGER. He proceeds to yell at my husband in front of the entire store, making 3 customers leave, and tells him he would not help us he is doing nothing. We asked for our trade in back and they have gotten rid of it, so we were sent away with the lemon of a car and one car payment for it, which we were told was paid off. In no circumstances is it every okay for an General Manager to yell at a customer and especially in front of the entire store. The entire store needs training in customer service and managment.Review from Edith P

Dishonest in every way, sales and service. Will not replace peeling paint, misdiagnosed my windshield wiper repair. I asked to speak to a Dealer manager 10 times. Never heard from any of them. Jessia rep. finally called to address my concern, but read from her prepared script, no concern for my having to travel 4 hours for an essential part not in stock which which any intelligent Dealer would have onhand. Do not go to Nissan of Shelby. Go to reputable Dealet.Review from Amber P

On 7/14/2022 I took my vehicle to the Nissan of Shelby for tire rotation and oil change. There was a new man working that I had never seen before. When it was time to check out he couldnt figure out how to take my payment. He started cussing and asking other people for help. Finally, there were three different men trying to figure out how to operate the computer system. I was patient, as the man expressed he was new. Finally, one of the men told me my total was $44.57, so I stick my card in the card reader and it says payment accepted and the man handed me a paper and told me to have a good day. (I assumed it was a receipt). Today, 7/25/2022 I receive a voicemail from the service **** manager ***, (who called me the wrong name in the voicemail and said the wrong payment amount) who said this was his first attempt to reach me and that if he had to make three attempts he would file a police report for theft of services and that I left with my vehicle without paying and he and I quote didnt want to get nasty and do things he doesnt like doing. I took this extremely threatening so I called, he answered, and I said I have absolutely no idea what youre talking about because you took my card and sent me on my way and I dont appreciate being accused of theft. He said he was new and I said I wanted to speak to someone else to resolve the issue immediately. I finally get ahold of someone else and she took the complaint very seriously and I told her to check the video footage of me literally sticking my card in the card reader between 5-5:20 pm and the man telling me goodbye have a nice day. I then spoke to another man in charge who was helpful and told him my issue and he asked that I forward him the voicemail, so I did and he said it would be reported. He also stated they do not make police reports for $44, that, that was incorrect information. I do not appreciate being accused of lying or theft and basically threatened.Review from Ashanti R.

I was given an appointment for brake service at 9AM. The service was supposed to take 2 hrs. After 3 hours passed I called service desk was put on a long hold, to be told a technician would call me back. At 3 PM A tech called me back wanting to perform service outside if what was scheduled. I asked to speak with a manager that basically called me a Bully. Manager continued to call me names told me to come pick up my vehicle and the keys would be inside. My car was held hostage all day no service. I was neglected and my vehicle was abandoned.
