    After moving into our house in March and experiencing several garage floods during heavy rains, we contacted H&H, who sent ****. He stated they would install a grate drain in front of our garage and route it away from the house using a drainage pipe that would end at our property line. The install was in early May. Since then, weve had 2 heavy rains in 2 weeks that flooded our garage. After speaking with *****, the president of the company and having **** come by. They stated the issue may be the roof volume coming from the downspout. When pressed about it not being factored into the scope of work, since the spout was pre-existing. He stated It was factored in and I told you, we dont know for sure if it would work. When I asked him why I would pay them to do work that didnt guarantee waterproofing. **** answered, its in the fine print in the agreement to which I asked what he was referencing. His answer was along the lines of unusual amount of rain in a short period of time isnt covered **** didnt have an answer for what amount of rain in a short period of time unusual falls under. In fact, he didnt have anything else to offer me, but to essentially tell me its my problem and fault that I didnt read the fine print. They offered to reciting y the issue, of course for more money, but at this point. I dont trust them based on my recent experience. Ive dealt with shady companies in the past and I always make it a point to call out their business practices for those who might also get taken advantage of. So, Im bringing attention to H&H Pest control. I would hate to see anyone get taken advantage of and then the blame placed on the person for trusting the company to stand behind the work performed. Im now out $2,000 for a drain that performs no better than when we didnt have one.

    **** recently has been in contact with the customer regarding the flooding in the garage. So far this year, we have received more than normal rainfall (as defined by the ************************ for this area). During many of those rains, we had no complaints from the customer. The system must have performed. However, we have had several rains of late where the rate of rainfall exceeded 3 to 4 in an hour. That is a high volume of water in a short amount of time. We have installed thousands of drain systems over the past 40 years. They have a 4" corrugated pipe that channels water away from the building, and during times of excessive rains, as we have experienced several times recently, the drains can become over-whelmed. Its like the difference between drinking from a garden hose or from a fire hose.The driveway already channels a lot of water from the road to this area, but we believe that the downspout on the right side of the garage is overloading the system during these unusually hard rains. To determine if this is the case, we have proposed running a temporary pipe across the drive to see if this will keep the water out of the garage. This would be at no additional cost to the customer.In a post on social media, the customer referred to supplies we used as coming from Lowes. The implication seemed to be that we used shoddy materials. Lowes is a trusted name and provides quality products, which we have used for decades in our installations.It is still our goal to have a satisfied customer.
