I took my vehicle to Brightleaf Tire and Auto in March of 2024 with what seemed to be a transmission issue (according to the mechanic/technician). As I knew this would be a longer process, Id assumed it would take around 2 weeks to rectify. After almost5 weeks, I was told that the car was ready for pickup and that the transmission had been changed and that was the actual issue all along. After picking it up, I maybe got 0.25 miles down the road and my car again, cut off on me. I turned around and drove it back and let them know the same issue was persisting. I was then told that it may have been an engine issue. At this point in time, it had been 5 weeks and I had already been over a month without my vehicle. Fast-forward almost 4 more weeks, I reached out and was told that they only needed two more weeks to finish it. Albeit frustrated, I agreed. Fast-forward almost 4 more weeks, and the issue is still not fixed. I am beyond done with the business as I have just generally lost my trust in them. I went and picked up my vehicle to take it to another shop. I asked for a report of what they had done to my car, to which the mechanic told me You wouldnt understand, Im a mechanic. I asked him to write it down or if I could get a print out of services rendered (as almost ALL auto shops do this) and he told me that he couldnt give it to me. He told me he couldnt give it to me because they dont keep records at the store and I could speak to the owner next week on Monday when h*** be there (which doesnt make any sense to me). He was very dismissive this entire exchange and it upset me terribly. I then asked for the phone number for the owner and he refused that also. I still picked up my vehicle and take it to another shop. I now have to wait another week to figure out what they did to my car and it just seems very sketchy and unprofessional. I love praising businesses when they do well, but this has to be one of the worst experiences Ive had at an auto shop.Initial Complaint

Paid for services not rendered, my daughter and I could have been killed due to his negligence and I would like reimbursement for my services, hotel fee, tow fee, rentals, gas etc..
