This company illegally repossessed my vehicle saying it didn't have insurance on it when in fact it had full coverage on it! They also illegally put a tracking device into my car and came to my job and took the car!Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/11/02) */ Mr. ***** signed a Retail Installment Contract agreeing to provide continuous full coverage insurance and also signed an "Agreement to Provide". On 08/25/2020 Security Credit Corp received an intent to cancel due to non-payment effective 09/06/2020. A letter was mailed to the customer's provided address requesting updated insurance information. On 09/08/2020, Security Credit Corp called the customer's ******** agent and verified the policy was indeed cancelled. After verification of insurance cancellation, we called the customer on 09/08/2020 at 9:30am and explained to them that the ******** policy was cancelled and customer then stated they did not know the policy was cancelled. Informed customer at that time to please provide proof of coverage by 4pm that same day and gave fax number. On 09/08/2020 at 4:17pm we called ******** agent again to verify if insurance payment had been made. Agent again verified no payment and policy was cancelled. on 09/09/2020 at 11:45am we again called customer at all phone numbers provided and left message. on 09/09/2020 at 2:23pm we called the customer again and left another message. On 09/10/2020 at 1:10pm we called customer again and left another message. Vehicle was repossessed 09/10/2021 due to no insurance and customer not responding to several attempts to get the needed information. The repossession is performed by an independent repossession company. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2021/11/02) */ That is a total and Blatant lie! They called me to tell me my insurance company called them due to a lasp in insurance I immediately and had the general sign me up immediately as well as send over the declaration page to security credit which i have proof of and will submit that the car had full coverage when it was repossessed and that a illegal tracking device was placed in the vehicle feom them prior repossessing it! Business Response /* (4000, 10, 2021/11/03) */ The customer did NOT provide any valid insurance information until AFTER the vehicle was repossessed. As stated, numerous attempts were made to get this information and the customer knew for days that we needed the information. The down payment was paid to the dealer where customer purchased the vehicle. That money was not paid to Security Credit Corp. It is the customers responsibility to provide the needed information in a timely manner.
