I purchased a car from Sauls my down payment was $2500 and I paid $499 for tags tax and title and I never received my tags on the 22nd day after purchasing the car from Sauls I was driving down the highway and the car catch fire and burned completely leaving me without a car no money back or anything! I went to Sauls and told him what happened and all he was worried about was the settlement money! He never tried to help me with the situation now he says that the process between me and the insurance company was taking too long so he called them and lied and settled without me knowing! So Im still without a car and my money but he was paid out by insurance which was just enough for the car to be paid out! I honestly think he went this route because Sauls know that Im young 19 years old and he took advantage of me! I was taking the car back to the lot every week to get things fixed on it! 2 days before my car caught fire I took my car to Sauls and the mechanic drove the car and told me that there was a strut that needed to be replace in the car but had to order the part! But I have nothing not a car nor my money back and this isnt fair! All my paperwork and receipts from the purchase of the car was in the glove department in the car but the car burned completely everything was ruined!

The customer came in with her grandmother to purchase the vehicle on March 14,2024 through the **** program.  At time of purchase, she had the paper copy of her NCDMV Driver License.  She was informed at time of purchase she would need to supply us with a copy of her official DL as soon as possible so we could process her paperwork at DMV and get her tag.  As soon as we received the official DL we processed her paperwork.  On Monday 4/8/2024 the customer and her mother came into the dealership and informed us that the vehicle had caught fire while the customer was in *************  Mr. ********************** talked with the customer and told her she had to wait to purchase another vehicle until the insurance settled the claim.  That she would need to make her payments until it was resolved.
On 4/11/2024 a payment was due and not made.
On 4/16/2024 the customer claimed she had not heard anything from insurance, adjuster has been out of office and should return on 4/16/2024.  ******** said she would make a payment on 4/25/024.
On 4/26/2024 the customer claimed the insurance ********************** had received a report from the fire department and is waiting to hear back for the next steps from the insurance company adjuster. Customer would try to make a payment by 3:00 pm today.
4/29/2024 SMC tried to call customer, phone just rings with no answer.
5/9/2024 SMC tried to call customer, the wireless customer you are calling is not available please try your call again later.
5/9/2024 SMC reached out to the Insurance claim adjuster, he informed us he was unable to contact the mutual customer.  He had tried on 5/2/2024 and 5/7/2024 with no response.   SMC made the decision to repossess the vehicle for non-payment and settle the claim.

Good afternoon, I will keep this real brief. I bought a car from Sauls Motors ********** ** in November. The owner **** wrote up a contract between him and me about the pay of the car. We both signed and agreed about the pay. He made a copy and gave the other copy to me. Two weeks ago they towed my car and we i called to find out why they said i was behind a payment. Well you cant be behind on a payment that doesn't exist. Also his wife ***** said the contract doesn't exist and **** also said it .With them both calling me a lier. When the daughter found it she begin to get yelled at on the phone. I have both documents stating information. The car should not have been towed nor a payment because i was up to date. It was also said they can tow when they want to. If need be i do have the contracts.Thank you for your time.

Complaint: ********. ****** owner **** wrote a contract that I signed and he signed and made a copy. But someone went back and wrote information on his copy after I left. So my copy has none of the writing that his has. I so that contract that his daughter found in my file. That was also not to be found because her daughter said well I'm going to get cussed out because I found the contract my daddy wrote that he said he didn't write. This is not right to treat a man like this that you smiled in my face when you gave me the keys and a month and a half later you take it away.  **** told me that the payments can be paid within the month because everyone does not get paid at the same time. So if I paid December in two payments and it wasn't towed why did you tow it later in January when **** said it was ok to pay at once but he likes it in tow parts. It is not my fault that **** can't remember and it is not my fault that he and his company are not on the same page. I want justice because I have been really treated like I'm less then a man. I went on the ******** page and put in a amazing comment about them when I bought the car and a month later I'm treated like some stupid black guy that should not be speaking to in a manner. I want justice. I have contacted the ***** about this and I all I want is justice for being treated less than a man  and and being talked to like a boy from **** and his wife.

I am rejecting this response because:

Again the contract was altered but remember you said you did nothing wrong.  The say I asked **** repo when you want to and his daughter said yes they do....but that was never said....the same way I said there was a contract written by **** and I was called a lier by **** and ***** and then it was found ....that never happened right..it's a shame that you can't remember but things happen and then you say it's nothing. Well NAACP doesn't feel that way about someone being talk to like a slave.  So again **** should remember if he added words to a contract after it was signed and copied. Thank You

I purchased a 2014 Volkswagen convertible beetle on July 15, 2022, from Sauls Motor Company in *********** NC. I paid cash for the vehicle and the extended warranty ($13,672.00). On Thursday, July 21, 2022, I was pulling in my driveway, noticed oil spots on my drive , and felt like it was “running rough”. Prior to turning off the vehicle on the dashboard the red-light flashing Inspection now & engine light came on. After the car cooled off, I checked the oil and there was no oil on the dipstick. I had a mechanic come and double check behind my findings and he found the same. He put four quarts of oil in my car. At the time I’d had the car 6 days and only driven it three of those days. I immediately called *** (salesman that sold me the car from Sauls Motors) he advised me to utilize my extended warranty to have the car towed and fixed by an approved dealer under the ******** Extended Warranty which I purchased at the time of car purchase from Sauls Motors. I spoke with a rep from ******** Extended Warranty on July 15, 2022, and they approved for my car to be towed to ***** Volkswagen, *******, NC. Friday morning, July 16, 2020, the car was towed to ***** Volkswagen where it remains. ***** was able to do an assessment on my car on July 28, 2022 and they brought me in to review. Their assessment verified an oil leak coming from the turbo oil return line oil leak coming from the turbo oil return line due to being installed incorrectly and not secured due to the casting on the block being broken off. Also, the radiator and inner cooler were bent and the lower oil pan had been resealed with rtv sealant and the frame bolt was looseand not secured due to the frame bolt was looseand not secured due to the casting on the block being broken off Also, the radiator and inner cooler were bent and the lower oil pan had been resealed with rtv sealant and the frame bolt was loose. ****, serviceman with ***** Volkswagen, called *** at Sauls Motors and made him aware of the findings.

If I could leave no stars then I would. Literally wish I didn't give them my money. From the start I was promised a car and trusted them couldn't be there until next day. Without being called or notified the car was sold out from under me with poor communication between employees now I will not say names because said rep has been the only one with kind regards. The car I got I test drove and was satisfied but needed work so they said it would be fixed. Waited days and work still not done so they agreed to getting the work done later. So I then went to the lot to do the paper work and before I even left the parking spot check engine light was on. The employees saw this before I even pulled off . But this meant the said lot clears codes before selling to you. Then made appointment to get car in and then was told that my time was too late for them to help so I then had to explain trouble on why I couldn't just leave the car because I have a job too. Then was unprofessionally fussed at and hung uup on and told to figure it out. So then proceeded to drop my car off where the brakes were fixed but the check engine light was not and was told that the owner would not talk to me. Which is very unprofessional for a business but that they were not fixing the car for me to come get it or they'll keep it
