Contractor accepted the job, and began work 05/23, and stated job would take about 2 weeks to complete. Contractor requested payment for materials and labor, for which I paid, and had him sign for. Contractor stopped working on the house around 06/15, after completing 1 1/2 of the 6 projects agreed upon. Contractor took my house keys off my property and kept them, he left a mess materials both in my house and outside in my yard, and refuses to clean it up. The contractor left bare/live wires hanging from my ceiling, roofing shingles off the roof, siding off the house where he enclosed a window and door, left drywall unfinished, and removed plumbing for the laundry room that was to be relocated and a bathroom installed in it's place, but never completed, so now I have neither a laundry room or bathroom, just all the plumbing pipes left out on my deck. The work he did do is sub-par as shown in the photo of the window he removed and used framing nails to complete instead of finishing nails, so the appearance is awful. Contractor repeatedly stated he would be back to finish the jobs, and never showed up, and now will not return phone calls or texts.Customer response

The business owner did come by my house on Friday 08/04/23 to say that he was sorry that things got ugly, and that he would call me over the weekend to finish the job and clean up the mess he left. On 08/11/23 he finally called me, but only to request the tools he abandoned at my house and to say that he would only clean up the mess if I paid extra, he became very irate during this call, yelling and screaming at me. I declined, and told him we would take the matter to the Magistrate. He contacted the Sheriff's dept, who contacted me in an attempt to resolve the issue. It has not been resolved. Locks have been changed, as he still will not return my house keys that he removed from my home.
