We hired Paul's Home Improvement to replace the siding on our house in October 2020. Paul's did not fully complete the job until March 2021 due to supply chain issues. When the rainy weather arrived, our roof started leaking into our garage. We asked Paul's Home Improvement to come and investigate the matter. They were the last people on the roof working to put siding around our dormer windows. They did come our but claimed that they did not cause the leak. We asked for them to fix the leak in our roof, but they never managed to fit us into their schedule. We hired another roofing company to fix the roof. They discovered that there were holes in the shingles that went all the way to the roof. The holes coincided with where Paul's Home Improvement workers had hammered in toe holds so they could put the siding on our dormer windows. When they removed the toe holds, they did not caulk the holes they made, and the leaking we were experiencing was due to this error. We want to be reimbursed for the cost of getting the roof fixed. Had the workers done due diligence and made sure they repaired the holes they made, we would never have had to pay an additional $1000 to get the roof fixed. I have attached a copy of the invoice for work done by the roofing company. I am waiting for pictures from the roofing company that show the holes that they found while fixing the roof.Business response
