  I adopted from CrisisDogsNC in December of 2024 and it couldn't have been easier. I was so impressed with how timely of a response I received from when I initially submitted my application, and I could tell each person I spoke with from the person who did my intake/interview to the ****** had a genuine care for the dogs in their care & making sure they went to the perfect home for them. I would definitely recommend anyone looking to bring a new furry family member into their life to consider CrisisDogsNC!

  I cannot say enough about CrisisDogsNC! We now have a lovable, happy dog who is a perfect fit to our family thanks to these folks. It felt good knowing that CrisisDogsNC really is invested in making good matches between dogs and people. The vetting process was not difficult. I would highly recommend this agency as a perfect place to find your next forever dog!

  I have adopted and still have two different rescues from CrisisDogsNC My dogs were adopted two and a half years apart and every volunteer I worked with in the organization each time was wonderfully responsive. They ask good questions up front on the application. It is clear that Crisis wants dogs to go to forever homes and is heavily invested on making a good match for both owners and the animals. The ****** parents gave valuable insights to my dogs behavior which made bringing each of them home comfortable and nearly seamless. I had no surprises. My second adoption was for a playmate for my first dog and I filled out the application with that noted. Every response from Crisis was based on looking for a playmate dog so it was clear my application was read and understood. My match for the second dog was so good that it has been easier owning 2 dogs than it was only one. I very highly recommend CrisisDogsNC

  Crisis Dogs NC is fantastic. They worked with me until I was able to find, rescue and adopt my wonderful 12 year old, deaf, toy poodle. The volunteers with Crisis Dogs NC are amazing. I was able to communicate without any problems with the placement volunteer that first helped me. She answered all of my texts, etc. immediately. I was able to speak with the ****** mother of my little guy more than once. Anyone and everyone I had dealings with at Crisis Dogs NC went above and beyond to be helpful and informative. Never a negative with the search, adoption, delivery or anything else...always positive and so helpful. The dogs are so fortunate to have this group of volunteers looking out for them. Very, very careful in their placement of the dogs. It is not just a phone call and you have a dog. I was so impressed with the application process and the request for pictures or Zoom meeting to show the home where the dog would be living. Top notch operation. My little guy had a thorough physical and dental procedures before he came to me.Thank you Crisis Dogs NC for what you do!

  CrisisDogsNC has helped make our house into a "home" again after the loss of our dog last year. We recently adopted 2 chihuahuas from them and could not be more thrilled with our experience. The communication was prompt and excellent and they were happy to answer any and all of our questions. They told us all about our new "babies", and I talked to the ****** mom more than once and am still in contact with her today! The dogs were in wonderful condition and appeared to be very loved and cared for upon arrival! They delivered the dogs directly to our house and even sent pictures along the way. They were very professional and thorough in making sure we were vetted and that the dogs would be coming into a safe and loving home. I do appreciate that. We couldn't be happier!

  Having been heartbroken over the loss of our last two doggy rescues (both highly socialized and adored each other -- they lived quite long lives, it's never "time to say goodbye" as *************************** sings, a "tap on the shoulder" had me suddenly looking at ** Border Collie Rescue (kind of crazy as we live in a condo group with no yards, no dog park, ****** The first dog to appear "SPOKE" to me! Maybe my prior two rescues were the "shoulder tappers"? He was a boy named ***** who looked to be of ************************, maybe some **** (freckled tongue/rounded head), & Border Collie markings. I called **** at Crisis Dogs right away as ***** was at a county shelter, and they don't give dogs much time down here in the south. **** asked if I'd prefer to ****** him (her goal being to just get them out of those awful county shelters). I said "no -- I managed to raise & keep a very bi-polar dog left tied to a poll in Manhattan, if this doggy was half as good as he sounded I could work with him. We adopted him as soon as Cabbarus county shelter opened on Mon. AM and he's been "ruling the roost" here ever since! ***** is sharp as a whip, very sensitive, loving and the best of all things. He brings so much happiness into our lives. We have ************************* to thank for our "**********"! :-)

  As a volunteer who supports a local, open intake county shelter in Anson County, ** find rescue placement, we are so grateful to Crisis Dogs **! Crisis Dogs ** has stepped up for ** multiple times when we have been in need, including pulling both long-time residents who just needed a chance, and also medical cases in need of treatment, and a quiet home to rest in. For all dogs that they've pulled from us, they've found them the most loving and wonderful homes. Seeing our dogs with their loving families due to Crisis Dogs **'s work is priceless! As a small rural shelter where foot traffic and adoptions are extremely rare, we rely on rescue partners to help us to find dogs home, and keep us from having to make hard decisions due to space. We are so grateful to have Crisis Dogs as a partner in the work of saving deserving dogs lives, and finding them their forever families. Crisis Dog's ability to find families the right fit in a dog, and conversely to find dogs the right fit in a family is fantastic! Working with the Crisis Dogs team, and their fosters has been such a wonderful opportunity for our shelter, and for our dogs. We are so appreciative!

  I am a 1st time dog owner and I must say thinking about becoming one made me extremely Nervcited! Lol. My kids are now at the age that I feel they are able to assist in taking care of a pet so I jumped out into the deep. Crisis Dogs ** was one of the many places I searched and I must say that this company has not only met, but exceeded my expectations. They were through with the interviewing process which ensured me that this was not just a transaction. They loved their jobs and ensuring the pets got tot suitable home. **** was Excellent and gracious and the process was amazing. Thank you for everything, setting my mind at ease-keeping me so well informed-making this such an amazing experience. I highly suggest that anyone considering pet adoption run to this company. Their excellence is unforgettable.

  Crisis Dogs means what they say. They work with dogs who are in need of loving homes, and they match them with people who truly love dogs and want to provide those homes. Their process is thorough but efficient as they want to match their dogs with a family and or person who will provide the best home for a particular dog. We live in a continuing care community and the Beagle they found for us is a perfect fit here. She loves everyone unconditionally and as a result nearly everyone who lives here loves her. They provided our dog with medical care that she needed before we adopted her and even found a volunteer pilot to fly her to where we live. The people of crisis dogs are kind, considerate and competent. Any dog who comes to their care and any person who adopts through them is better for the experience.

  CrisisDogsNC is an amazing rescue organization!!! They care deeply about the animals they save, and are wonderful to work with when adopting a new furry family member! The process was quick but thorough and it was especially nice that we had contact with our dog’s foster mom both during and after the adoption. (Perfect person to answer any questions that come up!!??) We just adore ***, our senior Yorkie, and he has adjusted beautifully to our home. We feel very lucky that we found this wonderful group!!!???? I most highly recommend them and would definitely adopt another dog through this well run group that truly changes the lives of those animals in their competent, caring hands!??
