I contracted with Andy S*****, owner of 3rd Generation Sparks Masonry, to do two projects for me. Mr. S***** said the projects would take 10 weeks to complete; but it’s now been over a year and neither project is complete. I’ve caught Mr. S***** up in so many lies it’s pathetic. He says he has asked around and has been told “by others” that he bid the jobs too low. Recently, he says to me “You’ve gotten your money’s worth”. I still can’t believe he said that to me! NO, I have not gotten my money’s worth, what I have are two “unfinished” projects. Now, Mr. S***** says he doesn’t have any money to pay his workers to finish the jobs he started. So, I offered for my sons and myself to work weekends with Mr. S***** to get the projects done, since he says he doesn’t have money to pay his guys, but Mr. S***** says he needs to rest and have family time on the weekends. When I told Mr. S***** that he left me no option, but to hire someone else to finish the projects and then go after him legally for any difference in monies, he responded that he’d filed for bankruptcy and his attorney told him he didn’t need to finish my projects. Mr. S***** supposedly has taken a job working for Duke Energy as a Supervisor; but it’s my understanding that he’s still bidding jobs on the side, either through 3rd Generation Sparks Masonry or Sparky’s Hardscapes Inc. I’m posting this review because I don’t want others to get taken advantage of like I have been. I have a lot more stuff I could post about this company, but I think I’ve said enough. If you decide to still give Mr. S***** a try, DON'T GIVE HIM ANY MONEY UP FRONT! If he says he needs money for materials to get started, you better pay the vendor direct! DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT give him any money directly until he actually “completes” your project or you’ll be sorry. If I was you, I’d just call someone else! I know I will. Well at this point, I guess I have to if I want to get these projects finished.
