I signed a contract with ***** Panos on January 7, 2022 to build a 40' x 18' garage for $46,250 and paid a 30% deposit of $13,875. Construction was to begin in 45 days. I asked ***** if the permit had been applied for on Thursday 2/17/2022 and was told it for done on Tuesday 2/15. I was also told during this text exchange that the trusses would drop (be delivered) in two weeks. I waited until March 7, 2022 before going to **** ******** Town office and ******** County Permit office in ***** ***** and discovered neither permit had been applied for. I contacted ***** Panos via text message advising him of this and that I wanted my deposit returned so I could find someone else to build our garage. I also told him that I just discovered that a garage he recently built on ****** Drive took 11 months instead of the 4 months he told that customer. ***** promised to meet at my house the next morning with the excavating contractor which he did. He had my "file" which consisted of a copy of our contract and a truss drawing from ********* Inc. In *******. I told ***** I was almost afraid to let start, but agreed after he and the excavator promised to start the following week. The sub-contractors for excavating and masonry and the concrete did their part with some minor delays but the project is again at a stand still. Before the driveway was poured I got a bill requesting a $12,000 draw which I paid on May27,2022 thinking it would be used to pay for the material and framing. The driveway was finished on June 9, 2022. ***** has given me dates for delivery of the framing material and framing to begin on numerous occasions only to move the dates with excuses for it not happening. I have tried texting, calling *****s cell and office numbers leaving messages since 9/13 with no response. I either want the $12,000 refunded so that I can find someone else to finish it or ***** to finish what he contracted to do without any further lies or delays. See Bad reviews on ***
