Purchase dinning room set, received the chairs and the matching buffet cabinet after 2 months of delay. The table has not been delivered. I have called left voicemail, send emails but no one has responded. I have spoken with the delivery company and they do not have anything. Delivery company informed me that the company closed and most likely i will not get my table. They advised us to dispute charges with credit card. I also paid for warranty for the furniture???? If the company had financial issues they should not sell furniture they can not deliver. This is fraud. Should i report them for fraud since i will not get the table and for warranty they can not provide? i would like to return everything to them and get my money. What is the best way to proceed? This company is fraud and stole millions of money from the customers.Review from Susan C

Zero stars. We ordered furniture for living room & dining room. Put down a 75% deposit. The company closes abruptly yesterday. We have not received our furniture. No one is answering calls, text, emails. Showroom is closed. How will we get our $$$ back?Review from cristene g

Great products - awful post sale service. The sales people I've dealt with have been top notch. Problem is, once something leaves their hands you enter a no man's land of bad information, changing information and non-empathetic service. Not only could Cameron (sp?) care less about serving customers, her information was different than what others had told me. (And judging by the below complaints, it appears this isn't her first bad service experience) I'm still waiting for two orders here, and it's not like you can just go online and get information. They force you to deal with people who just don't care a bit about service.Review from Catherine F

Terrible experience- they treat their customers badly after sale. Bought a $2100 chair and they completely screwed up button placement in a very noticeable way (where is quality control?). Instead of making it right and replacing the chair, their customer “experience” representative has been downright hostile and combative refusing to replace chair instead doing the cheapest thing possible for them, sending someone out to restitch the two buttons. we spent more than $10k with them when we bought this chair, we don’t want a restitched chair. I am shocked they can stay in business treating their customers like this.Review from Nicole I

To the Owner of Mitchell Gold. I was in your store 5/29/23 interested in your 48 inch marble table; item # 11342-DNT-T, Brand 1000. While taking a closer look at the base I noticed a sticker on the underside & took a picture: Made in China made with Chromium Hexavalent Components which can cause Cancer, Birth Defects etc. First why are you not disclosing this to your customers? Why would you even sell a dining table that is toxic?In the interest of protecting your fellow customers & as a retired RN, I felt it my duty to bring this to your attention to protect the health of others. I am glad I saw this before purchasing it. The salesperson never mentioned this factor nor do I think she knew about it. I did send her an email though alerting her. I ordered 2 electric recliner chairs at a cost of $10,500 on 11/22/2023 expecting delivery in March 2023. After receiving no delivery update I contacted customer service in March for an update and they told me it would be shipped on April 3rd. When no contact for delivery I followed up on 5/5 and was told " I have looked into your order and the report states that they should be complete in production on 5/5/23." On May 4th they emailed me an update and said it was expected to be completed 5/17. I then called 5/25 because I had no updates and they now say it will possibly be May 30th but now that they may need to wait on a part to complete them and it may be longer. At this point it's been 6 months and I don't have my chairs and they have my money. I have asked for a refund but they will not because it is a special order with the fabric I chose. I ordered two Santorini outdoor chairs, matching cushions, and outdoor covers on 27 Nov 2022 from MGBW’s South Coast Plaza store (Melodie) for $5903.17. These chairs, cushions, and covers were promised for delivery in the month of March 2023. After receiving no status update from MGBW, I contacted Melodie on 1 April 2023 for status. I was informed by Melodie on 2 April that there was a stock delay, and that the new estimated delivery date was now 27 April 2023. On 2 April, I informed Melodie that if the chairs were not available for delivery by 1 May, I would be cancelling my order. On 23 April, I contacted MGBW’s South Coast Plaza store (Vanessa) and learned that MGBW would not be able to make a 1 May delivery date. As a result, I cancelled my order and requested a full refund to my credit card. After much back and forth, I then contacted Steven at the MGBW Cancellation Dept (found the number online myself as Vanessa would not provide) on 8 May 2023 and asked for status. Steven also stated that MGBW was working through a high ticket volume and would be in touch soon. On 18 May, still hearing nothing from MGBW, I contacted the on duty customer rep at MGBW for status. This time, Cameron answered my call. I asked Cameron what the status of my refund was and basically got the same response as provided by Vanessa and Steven. I then told Cameron that if I did not receive a refund on my credit card by close of business, 19 May, that I would be going to the Better Business Bureau, my credit card company, and MGBW’s Facebook page. Since I have still not received a credit to my credit card and have no idea as to when I will receive said credit, I am now going to the BBB, my credit card company, and MGBW’s Facebook page. And, as a long time MGBW customer, I will no longer be doing business with MGBW as there is no accountability for problems or issues. BTW, if I could leave a zero star rating with the BBB for this company, I definitely would.Review from Jacqueline C.

I purchased a marble coffe table from this store in mid-November ‘22. I was informed the expected delivery date would be in late December. By mid December I had not heard anything so I reached out. I was then told it would be JUNE! I canceled the order because I couldn’t wait that long. I was told I would receive a refund ($2,000) within 3-5 business days. That was before Christmas. To date, after several emails and phone calls I still have not received the refund! It’s now February 5th. This company is severely lacking in customer service and quite honestly the reviews I have read (unfortunately after my troubles started) I am shocked they are still in business. I will likely have to pursue legal action which I was hoping wouldn’t be necessary. BUYER BEWARE!!!!Review from vadim Y

Here is my email to the owner and the CEO of the company. I got no reply. Dear Mr. Williams, I hope this letter finds you well and sitting comfortably, unlike me and my guests, who were forced to sit on the floor during our Christmas party due to the delayed delivery of our new couches. I am writing to bring to your attention a problem that I have encountered with my recent purchase from your store in Natick, MA. Over the past three years, I have spent over $30,000 in your store and have been a loyal customer. However, my recent experience has left me feeling like I should have just gone with the floor seating option from the start. My wife and I purchased two couches from your store, and the salesperson, June Stefancyk, promised that they would be delivered on December 22, in time for our Christmas party. Unfortunately, this did not happen and we were not even notified about the delay. After repeatedly trying to reach June for an update, we were given a new delivery date of January, which has now been pushed back to February, and possibly even March. To summarize, we were promised a delivery within four months, and it looks like it will take closer to seven months, a 60% error on the time estimate. Furthermore, our salesperson, June, was difficult to reach and did not provide updates on our order. Her customer service was lacking and she lied to me about having no updates. Please see emails below. I run my own business I understand the importance of providing excellent service and timely deliveries, and I would never treat my customers the way June treated me. I kindly request that you expedite the delivery of our couches, and address the issue of customer service with June. I hope to receive a prompt response. Called MGBW twice to get an update on my couch order , was told it was would be ready by end of January. I randomly stopped by the store and was told the couch was ready for delivery early January.I was given the number for their delivery service Ryder Last Mile. I contacted them to schedule the delivery only to find out the item has been available for delivery since beginning of December and that they've been "tryingto contact me.They informed me that didn't have my contact information from MGBW, no phone number or email was provided in the order.They've been attempting to contact me for over a month. I provided them my information and was told it would be updated.I call the next morning to follow up and they had a different delivery address on file, a random address and I had to update my information once again. Throughout this process I contacted the sales rep at the ******* store, who again was nice and that's about it.I resolved the delivery issues myself, therefore at that point I did not need her assistance.However,nobody from the store followed up with me since then which I was disappointed about. The couch was delivered today, I paid extra for white glove delivery service and was told everything would be assembled in the house , 5 start delivery service supposedly.The delivery guys were nice enough.However,the couch was already assembled,all the they did was bring it to drop it off,so what's the point of the white glove delivery service?Save your money. They also chipped the paint off my wall. The couch is not what I expected,for almost 6k you would think it would be top notch and superb craftsmanship. They also charge you for the item when placing the order as opposed to when it's shipped.The seams don't line up.There were strands of string coming out of random places. Overall, not a good experience at all, I will not order from them again. It's not worth all the money they charge you for the quality they provide.If I could return it I would.
