  On February 11, 2023 we signed a contract with R** and paid a $2,000 deposit for a custom flatbed. After months of waiting with multiple excuses and attempts to have the bed finished and continually being told it would be ready the following week R** stopped responding. Finally after months of empty promises for a completed bed all communication stopped. Even after R** verbally agreed to refund the deposit twice we still have no resolution. We have also attempted to have another bed built with the deposit R** still holds....still crickets. After reading multiple reviews that repeat our situation with R** I truly feel this business is a scam. Please see attached documentation including all conversation between both parties and contract.

  Mr.****** came to my place of establishment/Business 341 Tower road thomasville n.c, Royal-fabrication. His contract was signed as stated 2-11-22 for his order of a custom flatbed. MR.****** was aware and agreed upon that this was a full custom build not a factory replacement bed.There was to be no exact date to be completed just estimated. A standard flatbed with no add-ons typically takes 2to3 weeks to fabricate and install at a later date determine by customers. I Believe there was communication throughout the process on the date or the next day.My business conducted of 3 workers including myself so sometimes it's hard to communicate on a insist.Mr.****** was also aware at one point one of my employees was injured in a auto accident and my dates of completion was pushed back.Mr.****** was not comfortable with the delay and asked for a refund which meant canceling/voiding the original known contract.Again there is a NO REFUND Claus on the Royal-fabrication contract.At one point I stated I would return his deposit only if I received one on meterial purchased for his build WHICH I DID NOT!!Mr.****** then states he will consult with an attorney and push suit to small claims.At that point I advised with my attorney and he recommended a do not communicate Claus and abide by my original contract.see attachments from his lawyer. After several months of harassment he sends a new option for me to build a New custom flatbed out of aluminum totally different from original design, which is substantially higher to build ,again my lowery advise to stick to contract since it had been canceled, asking for refund!But I did tell Mr.****** I'd think about it just to try ad resolve our issues explaining it would be higher value and a new contract would initially have to be filled out and sign!My lowery still advise no contact,void contract!I did receive letter from his attorney asking or demanded refund so we waited for court order not to be received only to be threatened through texts!I am a 2 man show now so it's hard to respond on instant sometimes, so now on jan.8 Mr.****** wife has now contacted BBB,and going on social media slandering my company stating I'm a scam I build 100 beds a yr for multiple businesses and customers independently so NO IM NOT A SCAM!!I really just think Mr.****** was unhappy I could not perform the work in 2weeks!!I have been advised on multiple trips to my attorney to stop all communication and abide by my original contract which Mr.****** no longer needs or wants .If he continues to slander my company we will seek deformation of character in lawsuit!That's really all I have to add to this subject I have ran a successful business for last 4yrs only 4 people had issues that being said I will not be doing or finishing any work now or in future without full payment in advance.   Mr.****** filled out a contract on 2/11/22 for a custom flatbed although there multiple communications, the contract states there is no exact completion date given see attach photo.I purchase other custom products for the build which I did not get a refund on aswell. I was in process of constructing the bed when you canceled voiding our contract but never came to the location which you call a scam....to see the process..It takes time to design and fabricate a highly customized bed like you wanted.Again why would I offer to build anything since you have slandered me and my company on social media..This will be my last and final communications ,you sign a contract PERIOD!!.It doesn't work that way transfer meterial , I run my business same for 4yrs.Again this last response to this matter.Thank you R** *****!

   I am rejecting this response because:
  
  When a refund was requested, after months of delays, R** agreed and even apologized for things not working out and says refund would be received by Wednesday, which was back in June of 2023. R** never stated that he had started the build already. Actually, this is the first time we are even hearing that. 
  
  If R** had explained this information or told us that we wouldn't get a refund, then we would have done something differently other than wait months for a refund that he eventually changed his mind about providing. This entire process has been multiple excuses, no product, and R** wrongfully keeping money for a product that wasn't provided. 
  
  R** is claiming to build over 100 beds a year. I don't understand why the materials that he purchased couldn't be used for another project. I would like to see documentation of what he ordered and could not return or use for another project. If I'm not going to get a refund, he could at least give me the materials that were purchased for my project that he claims couldn't be refunded.
