          Roaring River Vineyards is located in the northeast area of North Carolina in the Yadkin Valley Wine Appellation in the city of Traphill between Elkin and North Wilkesboro, NC.  It is easily accessed from Charlotte, Raleigh, and the triad area of Winston-Salem, Greensboro and High Point and surrounding areas.  Our main business is the vineyards and winemaking and over the years we added the Chez Josephine Restaurant and tasting room, the Gathering Place Event Venue, and the Lodgings at Roaring River Vineyards that consists of a main lodge with three vacation rental apartments and a stand-alone cabin that are rented through www.VTBO.com under the following rental IDs: 437202, 437950, 513211 and 1262826. The name of the vineyard was taken from the Roaring River which flows down from Stone Mountain and borders the entire length of our property before it merges into the Yadkin River. While staying in their units the guests are offered a number of attractions such as: an outside fireplace surrounded by a rose garden, an elevated hot tub that allows one to sip a glass of wine while listening to the sounds of the river as it flows by.  The river is the main attraction here it features greatly throughout the property as all the buildings overlook the river.  The Chez Josephine offers some of the best river views from its 3-story high cantilevered porch that overlooks the ruins of the historical Brewer Mills. The lodge is located on a bluff about twelve feet above the river and ends about six feet from the back porch of the units.  The first level has beautiful views, and the second story apartment's view are even more beautiful. The event venue is a great place for weddings, private events of all occasions, and business events. The Chez Josephine Restaurant is a nice addition to the property allowing vineyard hopping guests an opportunity to eat in between visits and our rental guests a place to eat without ever having to leave the vineyard. If you are a fisherman, then you'll love the private fishing on the Roaring River for brook trout, brown trout, and rainbow trouts.It is catch and release with barbless hooks. There are lawn games available for our guests such as: horseshoe court, bocce ball court, croquet and cornhole toss.  There is also a private beach with a pavilion to sit by the river or bathe in the river. The vineyard also has trails around the ponds that lead into the woods. Guests are allowed to walk up the vineyard and to the truffle field and memorial site.

          Refund and Exchange Policy

          • Guests have to agree to the rental agreement during the booking process with www.VRBO.com.  It spells out the various conditions of the rental and specifies very clearly the cancellation policy which is considered moderate/average by VRBO. There is an "act of God" clause which states that there are events that cannot be predicted and that may affect the refund policy.

            The rental unit refund policy listed in the rental agreement and also on shown on the www.VRBO.com website for our units is as follows:

            - 100% refund when cancellation is requested by renter 30 prior to arrival by guest to www.VRBO.com - automatic refund (no owner involvement)

            - 50% refund when cancellation is requested:by renter 29 to 14 days prior to arrival by guest to www.VRNO.com - automatic refund (no owner involvement).

            - 0% refund - 13 days to 0 days prior to arrival.

            Optional Cancellation insurance/protection policy is offered through the www.VRBO.com during the booking process. Owners also recommend another insurance option in their instant booking response to take travel insurance out with their or another insurance company that covers the expenses that are not refunded through the cancellation policy. Vacation rental policies differ from hotels.
