I met ****** "*****" ******* and his wife, ****, at a ministry conference, and they earned trust (mistake #1) since they were working for the people hosting the conference. I hired them (mistake #2) to help increase online marketing for my business, and they promised to do that. After hiring, they badgered me for $3,100 up front. I paid (mistake #3) them since I was so eager to get the work going. They drug out a weeks worth of work over several months with constant excuses on why it wasn't getting done to include finger pointing at me. Their contract even stated you could get a refund for unfinished work if you no longer desired their service. I requested a refund in writing, and they refused to refund even a ***** when they produced no finished deliverables. The request was just about a year ago, and still no money has been returned nor work completed. They hide behind an attorney in ******* who registered the company, and they are transient which makes them hard to track. They are fraudsters taking advantage of people until they make this right.

      Business response

How do I write about this.

We completed the work They said there fence got messed up and needed money and the wife changed her mind about starting a company. So they demanded the money. This is over almost two years ago. Her husband works for the FBI and he threaten to use the FBI against us. Our lawyer spoke to ***** the husband and we showed him our billable hours and we did the amount of work based on the money they paid. They realized they had no legal standing. We did the work and it was completed but they have unreasonable demands and have no legal grounds. They are writing untrue stuff in the complaint. We will take every legal options that we can take if this goes live because it’s untrue. I can have my lawyer call you.  What’s your number ?

      Customer response

      Complaint: ********
      I am rejecting this response.

Time flies for Mr. ******* who has had his hands full with other legal troubles after recently taking a much much larger sum of money from people in NC, fleeing the state, and hiding behind an attorney. Facts matter. See the attached file "letter to ***** *******.pdf" which was sent certified mail and dated July 28, 2021 which shows many additional facts and reveals the conversation carried into August 2021. Per the review of the contract for services dated March 17, 2021 (see attachment "***** * ***** ******** *** ********.pdf") which *** ******* said he recorded in a zoom call, section 5 stated I could cancel the contract at any time by informing him in writing which was accomplished in the letter.

The letter clarifies he did not complete any deliverables. See the attached file "***** * ***** ********* ** ****.pdf" to see the agreed upon five social media marketing services.  Then see the attached file "*********** draft work.pdf" to see the only draft product(s) which were created in canva software and sent to review. This was line item #3, “Logo and Branding”, which was listed as a $400 product and started but never completed to an acceptable level.

This was never a billable hour contract. See the attached agreements created by *** *******. This is a deception and distraction much like any relevance of my husband (no FBI threats were made). My husband couldn’t believe a self-proclaimed pastor, would attempt to defraud an FBI agent’s wife with what my husband says is an Advanced-Fee-Scheme (money collected up front and no actual work completed).

I consulted with two different attorneys who said I had good standing to sue but the cost would not make it worth it when typically people like this do not have money to retrieve from a judgment. I’m told by the county that if he had not fled NC he would be facing criminal charges, but they do not extradite for low dollar amounts like this.

      Sincerely,

      **** ********
